At least Cain has worked in industry, the military, and the Fed before. In experience, Obama is nothing but a career politician with a God complex, who has some strange dictatorial attraction to issuing fiat "executive orders" on everything, big and small, that he can. He clearly doesn't agree with the Constitution (which he swore his oath to uphold), and he doesn't like democracy, which is why he tries to ramrod every little thing he wants through, instead of taking the public's will into account through polling, etc. Oh, he polls, but he uses the data to learn how he can better manipulate the people -- which catchphrases to use (i.e. saying "corporate jets" about six times in one speech), not to learn how to better enact their will.
Even if you have strong anti-Obama "feelings" putting your prejudice on the table
weakens others acceptance of your arguments.
Rational people don't care about your "feelings".
Rev Wright is a Vietnam Era veteran he can say "God damn America" all he wants.

If he's the nominee, and when election time comes, we'll consider how many good ideas Cain has at that time. There is a lot of room for improvement, I agree. But there is a lot of time, too. We'll see how well he uses that time.
We're not voting today, so... twelve months back from when I do vote, I don't need to know much more than the most important thing of all: that the source from where those new ideas will come, and where his existing ideas will be refined, is the down-to-earth, logical, positive, seasoned, business-experienced, successful, and -- dare I say it this soon -- the wise mind of Herman Cain.
Contrast with the source of Obama's decisions and policies: a deeply-socialist, business-inexperienced, Constitution-hating/flauting, arrogant, provenly-tyranical and dictatorial, power-grabbing, bitter, petty, classless, self-righteous, megalomaniacal ("this is day [referring to his election] the oceans began to heal!"), and demagoguing mind. I'll take the good will and experience of the mind of Herman Cain over the bad will and inexperience of the mind of Obama any day! Jesus said to be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves. I think that's Cain, but Obama's proven to be as wise as a dove and as harmless as a serpent.

Ragtime left out Obama starting is state senate campaign in the living room of the home of a Domestic Terrorist...
1 nutty association can be dismissed, but Obama has so many of them with weird names that share similar ideologies, that Ragtime actually does have a valid point.

I'd prefer Gingrich/Cain, because Gingrich would be better able to mop the floor with Obama in a debate, and have the moderator lose their composure on national tv, which is an added bonus.
Either one of them could beat Biden in a debate.
I think Gingrich has more knowledge of how to get things through congress and seeing unintended consequences on things than Herman Cain, but I think Cain is very good at coming up with good ideas. The two have worked with each other in the past too so it wouldn't be a situation like Romney & Perry whom hate each other.
yeah i agree inyuyasha. i like gingrich.
the problem is:
1. gingrich has proven himself to be a GOP wingman rather than a standalone candidate and competitor, so i don't see him winning.
2. i do not think he will be able to appeal to voters. he is very logical and intelligent, but voters have an emotional desire to be filled. cain is more charismatic.
