other than one transposition in order and a few added letters the lists are strikingly similar
Does any one have answers more interesting than "the bible is a lie" or "they where common names"?
My interesting answer: Jambalaya.

I don't really understand what the heck you are trying to say to be honest

The first column is the 7 generations from Cainan to Noah the second is the 7 generations from Cain to Naamah
the names are a little too similar to be accidental

Though the names are similar they are diffrent Pagans have a similar religion to Chrstianity Islam and Judaism they are all diffrent when it comes to core beliefs.

BTW JakobVirgil are you jewish since your mother is a Jew?

I am not Observant.
the genealogies are from Gen 4 and 11 neither are "pagan" or any more pagan than the rest of the Torah.

(1) is the question If ones mother is Jewish than does that make that person Jewish?
or
(2) Hey Jake is your mom Jewish and does that make you Jewish?

1-most of the time but depends on who you ask. according to the halakha yes.
2-Both my mother and her parents are non-Observant and really never have been
(my bubbe was when she was very young)
I am a 3rd generation Secular Jew.

This is proof that the events after Noah's arc and the creation tale are actually the same thing. Some chaotic event destroyed most of life in Earth and the surviving humans were first saved in the arc and then taken to the Garden of Eden for education and preservation to reshape the earth in the 'gods' image.

:lmao:

My theory or rather hunch is closer to the original line is the one from Cain to Lamech
later writers where not keen on being descended from the fratricide and added some letters and
did some jumbling to make a "Sethian" line for Noah.
but it could be aliens.

with the exception of noah and jared, i don't know why many of these names listed in most genology lists in the bible did not survive as names that modern jews use to their children. lamech is pretty cool... so is naamah and enoch.

Lamech and Naamah have unpleasant connotations.
Lamech for the 7 times 7 fold boast.
and Naamah for being involved in the fallen angels and nephilim kerfuffle.
Her name means pleasing apparently the angels agreed.
I have a nephew called Enoch.
