Yup, it was George W Bush who agreed to pull out troops out of Iraq, so o'bummer gets no credit there.

I don't believe we're really leaving Iraq but yes, Obama has stuck to following the Status of Forces agreement that Bush signed in 2008 before he left office. Pretty much everything Obama said as a candidate on foreign policy was a lie besides the fact he thought Afghanistan was the "good war" and he wanted to expand it. For which he was given the Nobel Peace Prize lololololol.

I think he was given the nobel prize for no reason. Then his administration began a crazy attack on assange. As for Obama he began and ended a war with little cost to the US taxpayer. Bush's wars? We're still fighting them.

I think you're halfway with me on Obama but Libya was a lot costly than you think. I'm not too surprised a lot of people have positive views on Libya since we didn't officially have troops on the ground(key word is officially, CIA and Special Forces we're assuredly there) and didn't suffer any casualties that we know of but it was not of "little cost" to the people of Libya. Their infrastructure has been destroyed and how many civilians did we kill in our airstrikes? If Afghanistan and Pakistan are any evidence, quite a few. Gaddafi may of been a dictator but he relatively benevolent compared to many like our pet dictators in Saudi Arabia whose theocracy we guarantee. Most of the so called rebels are in Libya are hardcore Islamists even Al-Qaeda so I have a feeling we'll be having some problems down with these folks. We did end spending officially about 1 billion dollars in our adventure into the Libyan conflict, which is a significant chunk of change to most people maybe not our government.

As for the pledge, I don't see why we say it all with the god part or not. Looking back, the whole practice seems pretty creepy...

On researching that point Walt Disney apparently collaborated with anti semite Leni Reifenstahl and with the Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals from my experience. During the war Disney produced several thoroughly nazi-critical cartoons. According Neal Gabler, the first man to see Disney Records, he was a collaborator.

Still got to get proof of that Hitler Youth advertisment.

I don't lie or fudge things.

Let's start here.. Now, I will grant you that this is the New Statesman, and likely on the polemical list for many of your ideological cohorts--but I believe you to be open minded enough to read the left wing press even if you don't agree with its editorial policies.

In the interests of some balance, let's let Snopes have a kick at the (Coke) can.

Certainly Coca-Cola GmbH continued to exist during the War, and the Fanta brand, and its profits, found their way into Coca-Cola's hands after the War.

There are certainly demonstrable references to Coca-Cola's presence at HJ rallies--whether they also paid for advertising in publications, I don't know.

Bingo. You don't know what your are talking about. You have an opinion which you treat like a fact. Not good, kimosabe. We are all entitled to our opinions. We are not entitled to our own facts.

You might want to check who you're throwing your arrogance at, ruveyn. I'm not the one that made the original claim, I'm simply presenting the fruits of my research.
