More importantly it's typically a massive waste of money. The purpose of the military is to defend our country and its interests, not to police the world.

Can't exactly afford it either, money or liberty wise.
All implications are that we don't have a great future ahead, to the point that people are going to feel very lowly. Meds don't cut it, so why don't they just let people get high every once in a while so they can live a little?
Shoot, I drink, but just thinking about our future makes me want to get high.

I agree with this, and I'm from the UK. The only thing we really should be concentrating on is defending our own territory. Everything else is, like you say, a waste of time, money and lives.
