which then cuts down on medical costs because there are less illnesses related to nasty food...so it evens out. I personally would rather eat healthy food thats not packed full of preservatives, whatever chemicals they feed to animals used for food or spray on vegtables, and all that crap. But socialism is not the most ideal..........I think I am more into taking it further and creating a classless society with no government.

Well my solution is I don't work for those idiots in the first place, however it has its downsides as it severely limits the types of jobs i am willing to apply for.

Your article is very good dr01dguy.
Some of the things I didn't realise. I see that if everything is free or very cheap, people will buy it for trading or bribery.
If XL coats are in high demand then I got to get hold of them.

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery" (Winston Churchill).

nice appeal to authority,

in his day he had quite another definition of socialism from what is commonly used today,

Sometimes authority is right on the mark. Sometimes. Socialism is based on the Lie of Equality. Humans are NOT equal.

That wasn't intended as an appeal to authority. I simply appreciate the quote, and I thought it was apt.

How did Churchill's definition of socialism differ from that commonly used today?

no socialism is based on a desire to function as a whole,

here it means a truly equal oppertunity and not equality in itself.

The only proof of equality of "opportunity" is equality of outcome.

With people of unequal ability and inclination there can be no equality of opportunity. The strongest and the best will always get more.

The only thing socialism can do is equalize mediocrity and misery.

Have you ever read the legend of Procrustes?

no i havent read it,

nor have you any idea of how equal opertunity reflects on a society,
equal opertunity is not the same as equal outcome,
equal opertunity is when a society removes factors from the equation so evrything is left to the person in question and not their social or financial situation in its entirety.
of course nothing is ever truly equal but we are talking about thousands of factors here and not only a persons ability, if the world only gave according to ability it would look quite different.
