There's nothing here but beer and snow.

Go Ravens!

Massachusetts is the home of MIT. That is contribution enough.

I really hope Scott Brown starts attacking Newt Gingrich.

I'd like to thank Newt Gingrich for hurting Scott Brown's chances or re-election.

But actually, his real first name is Willard. I suppose Mitt is a middle name, or even a nick name.

I would think that an obnoxious hard-core "conservative" would have even less of a change against President Obama.

To be fair, he might have a point. Relative "soft-line" conservatives like George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole, and John McCain don't fare as well as outright a-hole conservatives like Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.

Doesn't median voter theory actually tend to promote the idea that soft-line politicians are more likely to succeed?

Last night, inspired by Pandabear's post, I was actually going to post a thread about how Median voter theory is a crock of sh*t, but I ended up lazying out.

What exactly is the meaning of "conservative", and what makes Gingrich a more "conservative" candidate? Does "conservative" just mean loud, obnoxious and hypocritical?
