Christophobic Censorship
When's the last time ... [they]... attacked you?
Last year, February through November.
Well, it's good of you to disagree with the censorship but after going through the crap I did with the slander and libel from them, I'd have to say that the term "Zealot" is appropriate. There should actually be a stronger term regarding their overly religious zeal over having sex with anything possible or impossible throughout the entire multiverse.
So you were physically assaulted by homosexuals over that long a period of time? Slander and libel are not attacks. They are words.
It was also so kind of you to ignore what I said about break ins and being told you will be damned to hell.

Yes, they are "only words", but they are still an attack. Harassment is a form of attack. Slander, libel, character assassination, these are all forms of attacks. An attack does not have to consist of only merely physical violence.

If someone wrote the same article suggesting that Christians were unfit to adopt then I think you'd see a similar reaction from some school admin somewhere.
I doubt the same attention would really be given if it were against Christians rather than against a state promoted social engineering agenda.

Well then you are hardly experiencing anything like the hate that christians routinely project at homosexuals. My advice would be quit whining about it until you are treated like homosexual are treated quite frequently.
Not one will feel bad for you because of words when people with your beliefs kill the people who say them.

I dunno, a country can be free in some respects and unfree in others. Hate speech laws are problematic.

When people with my beliefs kill ... dude, I'm a person with my own beliefs and not just a representative of some bloody corporation. I was personally attacked by stinking zealots. For as much as you don't like my whining, get over it. I was wronged due to the zealotry of people who hate Christians and can't stand people answering questions about what the Bible says in a manner other than twisting it to say whatever their itching ears want to hear. They attacked me as if I were a representative of a corporation, but I'm not. Even speaking to people who are employed by a corporation as though they were the corporation itself is incredibly moronic. Hearing people talk at you as if you were that company yourself, how stupid does that get? What is really with people who seek justification for what the Bible calls sin from the Bible? Pestering those who care about reading honestly for not sacrificing their reading comprehension in order to sooth their consciences and punishing those who answer their loaded questions with the right answer rather than the answer they want to hear in order to feel good about their own choices in this one life we're given, how is that not insane? It is zealotry, plain and simple.
You are a christian. Yes you are your own person but you are also part of the whole. You may not accept that, but the fact remains that just by believing, you do indeed represent your beliefs. If you don't want to represent them, then hide them or stop believing.
You were wronged? Oh yes, so much harm was caused by people saying things. You are not in elementary school any more, words are words.

Words are just as harmful as any other weapon, if not more so. Why the heck do you think so many people are trying to censor others on bogus grounds of "hate speech" and the like? Physical weapons can only harm the body, but words can harm the soul. In the case of Christians proclaiming the Gospel and calling what the Bible calls sin as sin, it is in order to save and not to harm. But those who don't like their consciences affected don't want to hear any of it and so they suppress those who speak with censorship and harassment, and libel, and slander, and character assassination, and anything else they can do just so as to shut their ears and feel better about themselves.

And telling gay people they are sinning and going to hell isn't damaging to the "soul"?
I'm sorry, but it's not saving anyone. All it does is harm people, all it will ever do is harm people.
If you want to complain about people throwing words at you, stop believing in a religion that constantly throws words at them. Simple as.

Sin separates people from God and so telling them what things are sin is to say, "hey, you need to stop doing that for your own good!" It's not hateful, it's telling it like it is rather than whitewashing everything to sound pretty for the comfort of mere churchian pew warmers.

And me telling you to stop believing in god is for your own good as well, it will only cause you pain in life.
And yes, telling people they are sinners who need to change or go to hell IS hateful. Very much so.

Censorship of a HS newspaper is pretty normal. 40 years ago I suspect the topic would have been interracial marriage and Christian conservatives would likely be equally outraged. There is no reason gay people should not be allowed to adopt. Ultimately the kid's argument will amount to "because they are gay and my religion says its bad".
In all honesty... there are actually more reasons why fundamentalist Christians should not adopt than there are reasons gay couples shouldn't

You can safely assume that you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do
It's more common than you think, and not just in public schools - places of employment or worship, social websites, and even one's own home are becoming progressively more hostile to people dissenting opinions, even when those opinions are presented in a logical and straight-forward manner. Try expressing any unpopular opinion on an emotionally charged subject and people will line up to accuse you of being a "hater" and threaten you with banishment, bodily harm or even death.
If an opinion actually *is* hateful and grounded in ignorance, then people should expect to reap what they sow. Does this mean it should be censored? No. But the same right that lets one spout hateful nonsense also guarantees others will be allowed to criticize them for it.

Mere criticism is one thing; insults, lies, violence and threats of violence are quite another.
