he's way too hard on terrorists.

i mean bombing pakistan. they were with us from the beginning.

he did the right thing by taking the terrorists out of guantanamo bay, but putting them in jail? come on, they're not even us residents. they should be free to go.

Yes. He was governor of Texas. He held a political executive position before being elected POTUS.

When he was governor of Texas he managed to get co-operation from both sides of the aisle. That indicated he has some political and people skills.

Obama had not even finished a single term as senator. As President he has alienated both friend and foe. There are left leaning Progressives who consider Obama a traitor to the cause. He has p*ssed off his own base. What a disappointment he turned out to be.

Okay, left-progressives, there's a lot to be angry with the conceder in chief about.
Hmm. Not really. You know, there is this giant hate cult against Obama, and there is literally no basis for it, period. It's asinine. It's groundless.

My "beef," as it were, is that I find his voice to be rather tinny. Also, I don't see the personal appeal in his outward personality: I actually find him to be rather stiff, and the media exaggerates his charm considerably. I think that he ought to grow half a ball and publicly drop-kick Christianity: frankly, I think he's a closet-atheist, and he ought to come clean over it. Finally, it would be very nice if he were more supportive on gay rights, but I wouldn't tell him so to his face for fear of getting, "screw you, I'm straining relations with my black base enough over this already."

You dislike his voice, but you are not bothered by his incompetence? Amazing!

I am betting that future evaluation will show that Obama is a bigger disaster than Jimmy Carter.

While I agree that the President has disappointed us in more than one category, for me though, it's his compromise with the Republicans and blue dogs that's the biggest burr under my saddle. I think he believed if he made an effort to meet the Republicans half way, they'd come around and put the country first. Maybe he didn't take their talk of making him a one term president seriously. By all indication, it seems he's getting his act together, and is making the Republicans backpedal these days. So if I'm right, next time I'll say that his close ties to Wall Street is my biggest gripe. :)

As for voting for the lesser evil - well if Sauron Or Cthulhu is ever on the ballot, I'll vote for the greater evil!
