I used to do tarot readings (for free) in college, and everyone swore up and down they were "accurate." But that was probably do to the psychological bias of ignoring the misses and focusing on the hits. See, that is exactly what witchcraft is all about

It empowers people, especially women. If others are afraid of you, they won't mess with you. In times when women lacked any kind of legal protection, this was the only way for single women to survive in a world ruled by men.
The goal of the Abrahamic religions is to oppress and control women. That's what made Christianity and Islam so frighteningly successful. Judaic, Christian and Muslim women were oppressed and abused as walking incubators, and actually believed that this was what Yahweh / Jesus / Allah wanted them to be. Hence the enmity of these religions towards witchcraft, and later towards feminism.
This Christian website equates feminists with witches and Satanists:

It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad and wouldn't pose a very real danger for women. If they had their way, there wouldn't be any difference between Western countries and Iran. Abrahamic religion is a male weapon in the war between the sexes.
