No I just like the slang, I've never been outside the U.S. One of me and my brothers weird hobbies is looking up and using british slang and I am not sure why.

Yeah, same here, I'm not sure if because I'm a foreign language speaker, I should use the U.S dialect because it's the most common one, or pick whichever one I like.

I don't get who's being made fun of in that satire, is it the extreme dude disrupting the class or the professor teaching the class, democrats, republicans or socialists, Karl Marx, marxists?........its just rather unclear who is supposed to look bad.
