Very simple. NYC just banned certain kinds of fatty oils to be used in all restaurants. Safety being health-freedom being the right to harm your health, and chose what to put in your own body. This goes for seat belts, smoking, etc... It would be much safer to never leave our house, but we like the freedom of being able to leave it. It's very hard to increase safety without decreasing freedom. The trick is finding an intelligent balance.

I agree, but only because my response would include better education, especially in terms of teaching - A teacher must own the knowledge he or she is passing on and they must do it with a good understanding of how ALL students learn - then society will blossom into paradise
