Excuse me, but wasn't GW Bush advocating much the same thing?

And Romney is going to be like Bush, using his same advisers and all.

Were I a cynical person, I'd have to think voting for anything other than the two major parties is tantamount to flushing your ballot down the toilet.

Disgusting outlook. That kind of attitude is what got people used to the taste of douche and s**t.

If it were a republican president with even a scant rumor of an "assassination czar" we'd be up to 30+ pages of outrage from the left by now.....

It's a disgusting outlook if that's what anyone thinks.

It is getting scary when the "leaders" of this country are all followers. When I was younger we did have leaders who disagreed, but understood that some things needed to be done regardless of their disagreements and then compromised and did something. Today, both parties just shout and quote from their respective radicals. Until a third party makes a serious impact this nonsense will go on.

Really. It may interest you to know that the man who killed our oldest daughter in the car accident she died in was wasted on marijuana when it happened. God help us all!

Everyone needs to vote for some third party. It really doesn't matter if your candidate wins or not, if everyone voted for the person they liked, instead of the person they think will beat the person that's in office, it's a good start for a turn around. I doubt many people nowadays would admit they are voting for the people they like.

It's either "I'm voting for Mitt because he can't be worse than Obama" or "I'm voting for Obama because he's better than that Bush party guy" People are fooled (and stupid) because they act like everything is on the line, EVERY ELECTION CYCLE. So, it doesn't really matter how many momentum change has going up to the next cycle. People are short sighted.

Everyone that is an American citizen (or not!) has the right to vote. You also have the right not to vote, and you have must be RESPONSIBLE for your vote.

I think people have neglected their responsibility.

Maybe people probably look at it like a lottery, "I'm going to vote for this guy because I think he'll win, (and that will make me feel good). I like the other guy better, but they don't have a chance to win, and I won't feel good voting for him (wasted voted  )

It's also like complaining about Wal-Mart but shopping there anyways.

True, but given the current circumstances that will probably have to wait a couple presidential election cycles.

I am sincerely sorry to learn that you have lost a child. As a parent myself, I don't know how I could handle that.
Even if pot is legalized someday, absolutely no one should get behind the wheel impaired by any substance. Considering your past experience, I can understand how you would oppose legalization.

The Republican party started off as a successful third party. They carried the 1860 election.

That is absolutely true, but only when the old Whig party was gurgling it's death rattle.

That's what they said a couple election cycles ago. How about now?
