If Romney wins, let me get real drunk first, before I bend over and grab my ankles.

No need to lube up, boys, Obama already f*cked you but good, and he's so smooth you're still thanking him for it. Check out the OP of my other thread, The Progressive Case Against Obama, which lays pretty bare the lies that Obama is on your "side".

As Romney - I hear - has a strap on with a metal phallus made into the likeness of Paul Ryan's face and neck wearing a spiked dog collar, I'll take my chances with Barry O.

Mitt Romney is stupid. Actually stupid. I watched the debates that he was in. Someone who knew him from the Olympics said they never believed that he was serious about trying to be president. He doesn't fit, it's just a cultural wave of symbolics and social mechanisms that he makes use of, that makes everything a mindless circus. Barack Obama however is very impressive from what I have seen from him. He is an exceptional resource as a president, very intelligent and everything else you would want. In global measures. Why would someone vote for Romney? You can do so much better.

If you aren't in a swing state your vote doesn't matter.

ok, so he might have slipped me the mean green weenie already, but at least he kissed me afterwards with obamacare which would be a godsend to me with its sliding scale premium supports.

Even libertarian paradises like Hong Kong and Singapore have sliding scale subsidies on health care premiums. They have universal healthcare. Willard's only stated plan is "repeal repeal repeal!".

My biggest reason not to vote for Romney has to do with the litmus test he had to pass to get nominated!! At best he's a two-faced liar who will say one thing (to cater to idiots no less!) and do another, and at worst he really will "double down on trickle down" as Bill Clinton put it! Not to mention that a total repeal of Obamacare (as Romney wants to do) would mean that people can once again be denied health insurance for ANY preexisting condition! Even WITH Obamacare in place, our health care system is STILL way too capitalistic!

Obama's far from 100% truthful, but at least he has some GOOD IDEAS on how to fix the economy... and Democrats are actually feeling torn between big-time campaign donors and the people, whereas most of the Republicans care ONLY about campaign money!! It is such that the only people who actually believe what they say are the people who vote for them!!

there is a perenneal critical mass of americans who cannot put aside their petty mutual hatreds and prejudices long enough to vote in their collective best self interest, and so republicans get most often elected, and then these same clueless voters wonder why they keep getting screwed.

Actually, when they wonder why they're being screwed over, the Republicans they voted for tell them it's the fault of the poor on public support, ethnic minorities (though they can't say that so much out loud anymore), liberals with their godless spending of other people's money, gays (for bringing the wrath of God down on the country), etc.

Looked in the mirror lately? I can all but assure you that the Democratic party does not have your best interests at heart, though they're admittedly more likely to pander to you than the Republicans are.

And the Republicans do? At least the Democrats are funding special education for my autistic daughter. I hardly see the Republicans fighting for that, or for providing a social net for those in need, or providing equal rights for gay Americans, etc.

Did I endorse the Republicans? There are more than two parties in this country, even if the scaremongering has convinced plenty of people otherwise.

Very unusual to the point of eccentricity, but not nearly as dangerous as letting a child ride in the back of a pickup truck; pretty common in my area (letting children ride in the back of pick-up trucks). Strapping the dog in a crate on the top of a car, can be less potentially dangerous that letting the dog ride in the back of a pick up truck as well. That said, I voted for Obama, but not because of the station wagon and the dog. :)

Interestingly, it took them forever to say the dog was even in a carrier. For months, I had an image of a cold, terrified pooch bound and gagged on top of the combi (station wagon, as some of you call it). It still doesn't make it right.

Now add this peculiar story making rounds regarding electronic voting machines being rigged to enter President Obama's name in place of Mitt Romney's. This simply makes no sense. For someone to do such a thing, they would have to have inside knowledge of the machines and how they function, have access to the machines without anyone watching them and have enough manpower to do this nationwide--without being "busted."
