I don't know about the op but I can speak for myself. I can't ride a bike because I'm too uncoordinated and can't balance it without falling. Also depending on the distance and weather riding a bike can be impracticable or impossible (like if there is a lot of snow, especially if the roads aren't plowed good).

I don't know if this was in response to me. I have ridden bikes. But they are not and never have been a good form of transportation for me. Can't you accept that? I'm not an idiot who doesn't know my abilities and limitations. I'm a 56 year old woman who has fallen off enough bikes in my lifetime to now know better.
