Dude, I know where you're coming from. I know the evils that have manifested from Islam. Hell, I've read Ayaan Hirsi Ali's book Infidel. Try reading it and not letting it boil you're resentment of extremists. But the state it's in is no different from Christianity a few centuries ago. Actually our involvement has caused blow back and increased their fundamentalism. These people truly believe what they believe. And we're not changing their view by giving them a counter reaction to their actions. I would even go so far as to say the actions of the West exceed that of the extremists, mostly due to the Wests means and "civilization". We should change their views through example, not deadly interventionism.

Israel did that during Cast Lead. Last time I checked, Gaza still exists.
