My town is tiny, and so is the library. It smells like mold, and the selection is terrible. It also has very limited hours.
As for ordering books, that's fine if I want to pay shipping and wait several days. With my Kindle, I get instant gratification.

As much gratification as a 7 X 9 page can afford. Can you insert marginal notes? And how long do the batteries last.

e-readers have their uses. They are very handy for taking light reading to the beach or while one is on the road.
