Canadian isn't so much an accent as a neutral way of stating facts and cursing creatively.

Feh.

Whenever I've gone to countries not my own, the natives seem to LOVE my "American" money.

Double feh.

The first video of the American in England was rather humorous.
The other two were rather annoying although the guy with the backhoe Cadillac reminded me of one of my uncles and something he would do with an old car.

I discovered that, too.
Money talks.

Some Americans are xenophobic but the people at the top just want money. The real motivation behind current American foreign policy is not defense or xenophobia - it's money. All that stuff about patriotism is just something that the people at the top make up to keep everyone else in line.

American tourists may be obnoxious (or do the non-obnoxious American tourists just not get noticed?), but the most obnoxious I've experienced are Italians. Get two of them together, and you have a constant noise-machine. They are also condescending, in my experience. Except my relatives there, that is :).

Seen on a bumper sticker:

"If they call it tourist season why can't we shoot them?"

We have seasonal tourists here to float the river and see the fall colors, they bring lots of money to the local economy.
The only problem I have with then is they won't go into the woods and poop, they leave it right on the river gravel bars and on the trails. It's just nasty. But I guess they are afraid of the woods but they could at least cover their mess up and for heaven's sake pick up the dirty disposable diapers.

Is the Pope Catholic? Does a tourist s**t in the woods?

I've seen what you're talking about and it is quite disgusting. You'd think they'd want to be up off the river and in the woods if for no other reason than PRIVACY. I cannot poop in the wilderness if I think I might be seen.
I guess they've seen Deliverance and don't want to put themselves at any more risk of being made to squeal like a pig than they absolutely have to.

Yup. They talk nonstop and LOUDLY.

Americans can be pretty obnoxious too, though. I would like to tell all Americans to please quit wearing gaudy American-flag-inspired clothing while abroad. No one is excited that you're American except you. It doesn't make you cool. And enough with the "fanny packs" already. And don't loudly discuss how you want a big fat steak for dinner while you're in a quiet museum looking at a nation's ancient treasures. Thank you.

^^^^^^^^Or a bug might get on them when they go potty.
It's no fun on the river anymore,Park Service dos'nt limit them and it's like a rowdy water park. And they don't know how to paddle, you can hear the paddles hitting the canoes miles downstream, noisy as hell. They throw their garbage out in the camping area and that lures up coons, skunks and bears. They are usually loud and drunk. They will put cans of food in a campfire and they don't know to open the lid, then the unopened ones explode.
They drive too slow and won't pull over to let you pass, most curves you can take easily at 10 over the suggested limit, but they go ten under. Then they will stop in the middle of a scenic bridge and get put of the car to take pictures, one problem,it's the main fracking highway.
And from personal experience,Canadians are the worst tippers, sorry Canada,it's true. The Dutch and Russians tip the best.

Canadians are usually nice people but don't discuss the War of 1812 with them unless you want to hear a bunch of pure garbage.

Me and my friend big Canadian Al were arguing about this once. We realized, since we couldn't agree who won, that the war must still be on. We decided to settle the matter in a gentlemanly manner. Unfortunately I realized too late that out-drinking a Canadian just wasn't gonna happen (guy puts down a case and a half of Molson and the only thing that happens is he gets more polite), and I let our side down. Sorry guys. Maine and New Hampshire are Canada now. But, on the plus side, he let us keep Vermont. His country's strategic maple syrup reserves were already so great that taking ours seemed unneccessarily punitive.

Canada didn't even exist during that war. It was a war between America and Britain ... and the Americans were the good guys in that war in my opinion.
