Do you believe former porn actresses are not of good character? It would be more appropriate to make it something like: "Is there anything about this teacher that will be a source of embarrassment and may bring the school and the teacher into disrepute if discovered?"
Which then, of course, leads onto the question - what if that is amateur footage? What if that footage was taken without her consent? Is she to blame for something that is not her fault?
What of it isn't porn that she appeared in, but simply nudes or softcore porn? Am I not of good character if someone takes photos of me nude and spreads them around the Internet? (God, their eyes would never recover.)
I think most porn actresses realise that it's part of the job that they can't be teachers once they leave the business, if they're honest with themselves.

I don't believe one way or the other--I think it is a question to be resolved in the instant case. The circumstances of one potential teacher are necessarily going to be different from another. Having a hard and fast rule that says, "former porn actors are not permitted to become teachers," is stupid. But so too is a view that holds these things to be entirely irrelevant.
The more remote the conduct, the lower the bar is placed to demonstrate good character. Activities undertaken for gain are different than activities undertaken for recreation. Material created with consent is very different than material created without consent. But the issue must always come back to whether or not the person's ability to discharge their professional responsibilities has been compromised.
