During the bottom of the Great Depression it was looking worse. That was 80 years ago.

People were much more optimistic during the Great Depression than they are now.

Looks like a damn good arrangement to me. :D
Of course, all of the important things like industrial and military might not to mention prosperity will be in Jesusland.
With all that socialist fat trimmed off It'll be what the USA should be.

:thumleft: Me too. I like that map.

In the United States of Canada we could spend all of our tax money on education, health care, infrastructure, and other things that actually help people.

You people in Jesusland, could have your theocracy, and force children to pray in school and teach them creationism. You could control women's reproductive rights and force them to give birth to rapist's babies. You could spend what little tax money you collect on the the military and fighting your stupid religious wars.

Then we could see which country comes out ahead. :chin:

And it appears that you're mixing debt issued by the US Government with debt owned by the Federal Reserve Board/System. The US Treasury sells what amount to promises to pay money later (debt), and the the Federal Reserve is one of many buyers of that debt (they are one of the largest). The largest single owner of US Treasury debt is.....the Social Security trust fund, also effectively run by the US Treasury.

Sorry, sir, you are utterly wrong.

While Congress did create the Federal Reserve Board, the FEDERAL RESERVE BANK is privately owned, DOES NOT answer to the Federal Reserve Board and is not subject to audit by ANYONE. Indeed Ron Paul was recently pushing for a law to audit the Federal Reserve Bank to no success.

When the USA needs to make its budget, it does a voodoo move where the Federal Reserve BANK gives the US Treasury permission to print money (which constitutionally it already can do) in exchange for US Bonds which must be redeemed in the future at interest.

The power to print currency always belonged with the Congress and the US Treasury. Granting that to a private bank was an act of pure treason.

Oh, I think we'll do just fine. There's already quite a bit of heavy industry and military bases in the Jesusland states AND patriotic people eager and willing to work.

Jesusland has the best agriculture land. But can't it have another name than that??That sounds like a Baptist Amusement park.
I can think of a good one,but some people would get a bee in their bonnet.

I like Jesusland because it's upsetting to the heathens.

In the meantime, the United States of Canada would be on the cutting edge of technology found in Silicon Valley, and Seattle. Plus, culturally and in terms of the entertainment industry, the USC would be light years ahead of Jesusland, which would only have Nashville, the Grand Ol' Opry, Dollywood, and that Creationist park.

You forget (or don’t know) that several states in Jesusland are also leaders in technology plus we have several academically high ranked universities (want a list?).
Also, we’ll have the lead in agriculture. I'm not sure the US of C could even sustain itself given your population vs. crop production. We could probably starve you all out then make you bankrupt yourselves paying us for food.
We’ll make do with our own entertainment industry and finally be shut of all those leftist Hollywierd idiots. We'll at least have healthy entertainment (lots of war movies :D and other wholesome family entertainment for a change).
Not to mention a far superior military machine where real technology can be put to use. “Might Makes Right” will be our national motto and if we find that we want (not necessarily need) something the US of C has we’ll just "liberate" that state and bring it under our boot heel.
