Esau was a nerd, according to the Westboro Baptist Church.

So?

Then it would be a moot point and starting a topic like that could be considered +r011ing :shameonyou:

According to our friends at the Westboro Baptist Church, who think that Esau was a nerd,

http://gizmodo.com/5588219/god-hates-nerds

Quote:
....If these people would spend even some of the energy that they spend on these comic books, reading the Bible....The destruction of this nation is imminent - so start calling on Batman and Superman now, see if they can pull you from the mess that you have created with all your silly idolatry..

the Bible is perfect nerd literature. Right up there with Batman and Superman. Maybe even better. Even Batman and Superman are not idolized as much as many Biblical characters are idolized. And, the idolatry gets nowhere near as silly.

If you read the Bible you will see that Yahweh seems to dislike lots of people. He(?) seems to like to smite people.Maybe he just found Esau to be particularly annoying. And he does not want a veggie offering either,He seems to prefer meat.Mostly lamb.
If biblical figure are more interesting than Superman why aren't there any Bible action figures?Like A John the Baptist doll with a detachable head?

Goliath looks amazingly like a Klingon.Do the boils on Job actually ooze pus on the action figure?? David looks like he has the same shorts on the guy in AC/DC wore.

Moses looks like he's marshaling an aircraft into it's parking spot on the flight line.
Give him a little set of light wands and he can do it at night.

I notice that Adam and Eve have on skins,so it's after the fall. They would have been more fun if they were wearing the fig leaves. And where is the serpent figure? He's pretty important, why don't they have a Lucifer doll??

I don't see David's slingshot, either.

^^^^^The Lucifer doll would have been more fun to play with, being good all the time would be dull.
I guess they don't want kids to get the idea how to make a slingshot, they might bring it to school and then you know what happens.

When you were kids, did you have a toy nativity scene to play with?

Image

Complete with non-porcine farm animals.

And then maybe bring in your pirates

Image

or dinosaur toys

Image

for some extra fun?

Did you not get wrapped up in a big towel to play the role of a shepherd at the Christmas pageant?

How would that be any different than putting on a catwoman costume for a comic book convention?

Here are a couple of guys, playing with Adam and Eve figurines

They are really into Adam, and they take the role play quite seriously--right down to the playtex gloves.

I was never in a Christmas pageant,we never had them at our schools. Now that I think of it,that's sort of strange for the bible belt.
I went to an Adventist school one year and I did sing in the choir at Christmas,Handel's Messiah. But I never did religious pretend play, that sounds dull.
I like the pic of the Dino eating the baby Jesus. We did have a nativity set and I arranged other stuff in it.It was a big cool one,I liked the animals better than the religious figure.
