Let's be honest. How many motivational speakers and writers of today are communicating their messages with people with Alzheimer's? Their advice is mostly useless, Alzheimer's is bulletproof of many notions that you control your destiny. Just take a random page like this for example
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Addicted ... 9986829934 It's only the scammers who prey on aging people in general and the few kooks out there who claim that the only people who get Alzheimer's are those who have decided to "give up." Mostly the real motivation for funding a cure for Alzheimer's is the doctrine everyone should be forced to work and contribute to society without excuse or else face the death penalty.
Completely incorrect.
Alzheimers is one form of dementia characterised by protein plaques and nerve damage.
Research is examining the reason for this amyloid growth and deterioration, and looking for dna markers indicating future deterioration.
It has been posited that pre-dementia may begin up to 20 years before symptoms appear.
Taking medication as a preventative instead of waiting until dementia is apparent may make a huge difference.
