And which is the problem with being Socialism? You take what works, discard what doesn't work. Public Health is very likely the biggest triumph of planned economies. Public health in Europe is way cheaper than US one and have covers 100% of population with quite a high qualtiy. Even Cuba, being in the edge of bankrupcy, kept having the best health system of SouthAmerica. Indeed, the problem with Obamacare is that it isn't public enough.

Sometimes politics looks more as team supporters than as tools that work or don't work.

54- 16= 38, therefore 38% oppose the law. 59% support the concept; they just think that it does not go far enough. Unfortunately the media ( which favors corporate interests and not the publics) continues to spout nonsense about how the American people are against Obamacare.
I am not saying anything pro or con about Socialism I am simply pointing out that those that oppose Obamacare ( Romneycare) because they think it is Socialism are grotesquely uninformed.

I believe Obamacare is actually the most divisive major legislation in US history in the technical sense, as it was passed with no GOP support whatsoever onto an electorate that largely didn't want it. It's then hardly surprising that the opposition to it is so fierce, half the country doesn't even see at is legitimate.

For now - but wait more than a month, and that may not be the case if the idiot shutdown is still going on. But what about paying our service men and women? Or paying government workers who handle the day to day affairs of running important government agencies? And what are you going to tell that child who was looking forward to going to a zoo, or museum, or national park that depends on government funds?
