I'm not sure I'd want to be in a Hobbit hole in winter.

would it be better than being under a bridge someplace?

Some kind of shelter would be better than none - a copse, crevice or cave.

Back in the Second World War, my Grandfather had known some crazy old Nazi sympathizer who had built his own little house under a bridge. No electricity or running water, but he seemed to be cozy - or at least as cozy as the insane can be.

I just want a small and simple place, without clutter. Enough room for a bed, to move comfortably, have windows, go to the bathroom, work out, store my clothing and other small objects.

I actually live close to a tiny house couple. The house is no longer than twenty something feet, no wider than twenty feet, and if I had to guess the height I'd say it is around 10 feet tall. These people can afford and have been able to buy expensive vehicles, go out to fancy restaurants, concerts, basically ANYTHING they want any time they want for a long... time because they do not have the burden of a huge home and all that comes with it. Their rent is 1/4 as much year round than what most people pay, or even less.

There is another WA couple that uses solar panels for most of the year to supply them with free electricity for their tiny home, how awesome is that!

Tiny House people are fascinating, the whole idea of living in Tiny Homes to cut costs and enjoy life more is fascinating.

Must be nice to have a choice.
