Steven Harper, in Ottawa must be just a chortling as this Rob Ford fiasco plays out.
All the attention across Canada is on Ford, and no one is paying the least bit of attention to the omnibus bill he's slipping through, also taking the heat a bit off his buddies Mike Duffy and Pamela Wallin.

I mean I think we can all relate. We all get into "drunken stupors" from time to time and all, and sometimes crack is around whilst being in drunken stupors, and stuff happens. Heh.

It's not going to be the fact that he did smoke crack that will lose him the next election...it's his attitude since then. What I've noticed about Ford is his constant need to be on the defensive. That incident where a councilwoman got knocked over may have been an accident but it happened because Ford was rushing to get involved in an altercation that was taking place there. Seriously, this man seems more and more desperate to get in fights instead of avoiding them. All he had to do was take responsibility for the smoke cracking take a brief leave of absence to get help. His refusal to do so is costing him a lot more now and it could be permanent. People are now seeing him as more of a fool than a competent leader.
