Do you ask God for help sometimes

When I go to sleep and when I pray the traditional prayer i ask for help.
I have asked God for help with so many things, but he never answered me.
Although I knida know that it is comforting to talk to God, so it creates a positive loop.

Religion all in all is not logical. Have you seen the stories in the texts? But the idea of a God is comforting. Gives you a boost at night to get better sleep. Gives you belief that something has worked in the exam the way it should, and positive thoughts cause us to function better.

When I first "found" God, I used to pray for everything, and used to get a lot of answers as well, but realised I got a bit mad when he didn't answer, I figured out I was treating God as a Genie in a Bottle that was serving me more than I was serving him, which is plainly bad.

Back then I was a lot closer to God and much more Spiritually active than I am now, so now he doesn't seem to answer my prayers at all, now this can be quite damaging to your faith, it might make you think God doesn't exist if he,s not making your every wish come true.
In my case I take the view that Ive slipped to far back into the World so God has abandoned me to eat my own vomit, but rather I had that notion than that he doesn't exist.

Now I just pray occasionally to bless other people like today one of my neighbours had given me a dinner, so I thanked God for it and that he bless her.
I dont ask for things for myself now except when in real dire straits like today my back started to go into spasm again, when this happens I can be bedridden for two weeks, not only is it frightening when you live on your own, but I was off just two months ago with it and dont want to lose my job, so I prayed about it, it hasn't gone into complete unending agony, but is still a bit delicate.
Maybe he answered my prayer?

I think people should try it, even atheists, just to see. If you are feeling at the end of your rope, like you cannot find your way and you are very worried, tried everything you can think of and have gotten nowhere and are scared out of your pants yes I think you should pray. Even if you don't believe in God, pray anyway and forget about Bible stuff. Just do it your way to your God. He will help you. I have done it and helped myself this way. I wanted help with a habit I had since childhood, I wanted to put a stop to it but it was a huge habit I never could break before so I prayed for God to help and I was able to break the habit on my own with no help from anyone else.

People say that's trivial but not to someone with a distressing habit. I am still an nail biter, I need to pray for that to cease next. I have been too lazy about that one though but I need to try to break that habit as well.

So, my advice is to do it and see if it helps even if you do not believe in God. You would be surprised at how much it strengthens your psyche.
