If you are willing , I'd like to hear more..what was that " social boo-boo " ?
Was the pimp of the prostitute who came into the dormitory a non-fish (Okay...inmate .) himself ?????

I had made a racial joke that had been overheard through a thin wall, and everyone in the other incident was an inmate. The deal there, however, was that our dorm's usual guard was on vacation and an inmate in our dorm was taking advantage of the fill-in guard's leniency at the doorway.

Besides a speeding ticket for going 2kmph (1.2mph) too fast couple months ago, I once got stopped by the police for waiting for the red light to turn green late night at a deserted intersection because "-no one- does that" so "I had to be up to no good and trying (too) hard not to get caught".

I've never been sentenced, but I've been on remand when I was younger.

I spent many a long weekend in the CDC and I was sent to an approved school too.

I just thought it was normal life until I was about 25 or 26.

...What kind of uniform/jail-prison garb did anyone here who did time , assuming that they did , wear ?
I got the now movie-" standard " bright orange polyesther-y stuff , which is what my in-housde mug shots , turned into a lamiated card that you were supposed to carry around as your ID 24-7 in the one little pocket of the jail suit , on the " jacket " .
I took some (Sssshhh :wink !) jail clothes with me , I'm wearing the very large undershirt for under the shirt as an undershirt now , I'm still in Santa Cruz so I wouldn't wear it up front 8O !
There's one more I still have , others taken were lost - I lost my ID/lamiated cards , 4 different ones , when my pocket was picked and other ID cards of a more conventionally " important " type were stolen :( as well as $560 dollars-ish

I was in a womans jail for a while in california. It's not so bad, you just gotta act crazy from day one which wasn't hard for me to do.

They mostly go by who gets the most packages and free food. You have to have sponsors. Nobody picks on you if you give them free food or if you are crayz.

...I'd read the " don't accept gifts from anybody , or give them " warning but perhaps that was men's prisons , and stronger-security ones .
I had no comissary money at all during my time :( (The longest three weeks) , I now carry a printout of some " Jail addresses " to maintain contact with with a $20 bill folded inside :) !

why are you going to jail?

Are you white or mexican or black? Reason being they stick together.

If you are white which seems so, then go to the strongest female and make friends with her first. Black women would accept you if you act very polite and submissive but then look strange like you got a secret. You ever study body language? Get a book on that and learn facial expressions and body gesturing, but then again it differs with cultures. Overall they all are weary of demonic/angelic possessions because it's very common in jails and prisons to have that presence there.

Yup, and what confused the hell out of the jailers is I would insist on being in and remaining in solitary confinement, and if they said no I made a point of forcing them to do it anyways. I hated dealing with all their rules and the arssholes. just put me in solitary and give me some books and Ill be fine, most of the time I just sleep it all away, trance my self out and sleep for days on end. before you know it its all over.

You'll get less time if you act normal in there. The woman aren't so bad actually in the prison. They are much worse in confinement. Most women in prisons are there on drug charges but in confinement you get all sorts of real criminals. And plus the books are better in prison than in confinement. There everything is monitored more closely and you get less free time. You think you hate tv now? It's like a delicacy of normalcy later on.

No, though when I was 15 I turned someone in for something because they ended up trying to set me up for it, thought this person was a trustable friend. Anyways they tried to get me charged with being involved in some way but my mom and me talked to some public defender who pretty much put a stop to it right there somehow so nothing came of it....still had to endure an illegal search of my room, cops looking at personal journals my therapist told me to write in, and an illegal interrogation about the journals without any permission from either parent so yeah that sucked.

Aside from that since I've been an adult I have been present when other people have gotten arrested about 3 times, and have been stopped and talked to by cops once because me and my brother and friends where camping and had to keep going in and out of the store due to a lot of disorganization and so they thought we where stealing stuff...someone with us had a warrent and got arrested but they had nothing on the rest of us . And then a couple times I got a bit too drunk and ended up being loud outside at night and could have ended up in de-tox I guess but just got taken home first time and second time they for some reason had my mom come get me.

...If you mean me , no , I'm a male .
I think I spoke of what led me ~ THEN to jail before earlier in this line , and in another one , if I didn't tell me and I'll (when I can) answer you , buyt , basically , it was " homeless tickets " and the possibility is building up here in Santa Cruz and , as well , I think the possibility of that may STILL exist in San Francisco and I think I may try and go to face it ~ ! ~ Put it to rest , for one , for two:
MAYBE , if I did a couple of endurable weeks only , my SSD could pile up and I could get enough money to GET THE f**k OUTTA California , which I want !
