This is a symptom pointing to the American right's new (old) problem. They've become so amorally extreme.

This is why I like Pope Francis so much. He confronts the C.I.N.O.s (Christians in name only) with their own dissonance.

On that note, I read a while back how Ms. Schaffley had planned to replace Pharisees and Sadducees with "elitists and intellectuals" in their new, improved Bible.

Don't they already have the Scofield Reference Bible used by adherents of the Darby Cult that worships Israel?

Hahah. yes, Arrant, we both know Jesus was a liberal compared to those around Him.

The "conservative" Bible would likely still be considered liberal when compared to the Quran.

This is old news. When they started, they were roundly denounced by Evangelical and other "conservative" Christian scholars. However, they have a rich, famous patron. So we are led to believe they are some major movement.

The Quran's war tactics are no worse than the tactics suggested by the Old Testament. Basically, slaughter absolutely every living thing except for the virgin girls (who would probably be about 12-14 at that point in history). You could force the virgins to become the "wives" of your soldiers. It also says that if one single person speaks out against Yahweh in a city, you have to burn the city to the ground and kill everyone in it. I'm not sure what you're expected to do if you live in that city yourself and you're an Israelite. Maybe kill everyone, and then yourself?
