:?:

On what grounds? You can't just call people "traitors" and put them in prison, unless they've violated some law (except maybe in Guantanamo, Cuba).

What law did she violate?

Oh. I thought that you meant that she had violated some law having to do with the Elian Gonzalez affair. You were on a completely different tangent.

Here is the iconic image of Elian Gonzalez when he was a little boy in the USA.

I hereby claim victory, under 18 U.S. Code § 2392

That picture isn't in Iraq or Afghanistan, it was in Waco, TX where in 1993 the federal government MURDERED 80+ American citizens(mostly women and children) under the orders of Janet Reno with approval of Bill Clinton.

Yeah, I totally remember when Elian Gonzalez was in Waco, and Janet Reno sent in SEAL team 6 to get him out, but they got taken hostage and so they sent in an armored tank division to cover the whole thing up.

He's not pointing a gun at the child, he's pointing the gun at the adult that's refusing to let the child go. And the reason he's doing that is because if he wasn't, he would have been completely overrun by militant Cuban-Americans kicking the sh*t out of him.

It was an impossible situation. I distinctly remember this was the first time I recognized the ability for something to be legally right, but morally wrong.

Janet Reno is plenty relevant to this thread. If you don't like that then don't respond. She's also the one that ordered that Elian be kidnapped from his family at gunpoint and be returned to Fidel Castro. Hell doesn't burn hot enough for her.

Janet Reno is relevant to this thread *to the extent that she was involved in the Elian Gonzalez affair*. The Waco massacre has literally nothing to do with Elian Gonzalez. Go start a thread about Waco if you really want to discuss that.

Take your backseat moderating elsewhere, threads go where they go. Janet Reno is 100% relevant to the Elian Gonzalez kidnapping.

Janet Reno was appointed by Bill Clinton, so he's relevant too. So lets talk about Monica Lewinski.

I'm going to have to ask you to stop trying to derail the thread.

Geez, I seem to remember that it was the Branch Davidiots who had started the fire, so they could go out with the fiery apocalypse David Koresh had promised them. And if it was actually the feds who had started the fire, why in God's green earth did they save people fleeing from the fire from running back in? As tragic as Waco was, the fact is, crazy people believing crazy things do crazy, often harmful things.

It could be handled way differently. Why not bring the father to the US? That way was harsh and unfortunate.

As I recall, his father had been a committed communist, and so it would have been doubtful if he would have come.
