Would the women's houses look as good as the men's?

I find a lot of things going on right now disturbing and revolting so I can understand.
However, this particular societal construct doesn't exist at the moment. I just wonder what such persons existing in such an environment would be like psychologically and how their thinking would alter from how it is now. I wonder what women and men are capable of doing on their own and how it would be different from now and how women would compensate for what would be lacking without men and men without women. This kind of stuff intrigues me.

Would the women get to keep the gay men? Would the lesbians go over to the men?

Nope. It's very strict in this post apocalyptic world. Women stay with women. Men stay with men. Unless a man or woman can make their DNA into the other sex, they must stay with their own regardless of sexual orientation or gender identification.

Well, boo. But in that case, I think that the houses would look about the same; the gay men would make sure that the interiors of the other mens' houses were fabulous, and the lesbian women would make sure that the other women's houses were well-constructed.

That fiction sounds horrible. My partner would kill himself with the drilling machine or ruin it by overheating, when trying to get a screw into the wall Or burning himself up by using the metal-slicer device, without caring about the direction the sparkles go. And I would not be able to eat steaks anymore, because of my inability to grill great meatpieces without exact instruction, about how many seconds and minutes to grill each site, whith what kind kind of heat. ^^

But I think this answer is not easily replied, because its about "what looks nicer", which is a rather objective question. I think there will absolutely be people, that would say that my partners tree house or cave might be far more romantic and nature-driven, then my rather boring standard house. ^^

I created this thread to help get inside the minds of people raised an entirely different way than our culture with our values. It would be interesting to view their world. Since that's not possible, I have to contemplate how each side would design and build their dwellings, businesses, high rises, sky scrapers, factories, and if they would look relatively the same or vastly different. How would they engineer their cities or manage agriculture complexes and who would be the most efficient? Would their civilizations be pretty much even or would one zone jump enormously ahead of the other, experiencing a technological boom and much prosperity while the other stays backward and primitive?
They will be pretty much on equal footing in the beginning, same amount of coastline and pretty much the same amount of acreage even though better farm land exists in the Eastern Zone. The women would have to figure a way to make their spaces as productive as possible and since they like the idea of "green" structures and are open to them, I would expect to see a lot of trees and gardens on the roofs of buildings. The Western Zone would make the best use of roofs.
The men would have a slight edge over them especially if they can export their excesses to other Men's Zones around the world thus accumulating wealth and resources due to the ease of farming large parcels of land in the plains regions. They would experience greater cost efficiency. I also would expect blockier structures and more sharp lines and angles from the men and more cottage, bungalow type homes designed and constructed by women but who knows, after 500 years apart, men's and women's tastes could be completely different and they would come up with innovations and ideas that are unknown.

I would like to get inside the minds of people and animals to know what it is they experience. This is my ultimate dream although it would be an invasion of privacy. I'm too nosy. Since this is impossible, I do the next best thing and create my own, or try.

Most would not wish to actually live in this place. I would like to for a few days, disguised as one of them, just to get an idea of what their lives are like. I consider it my imaginary world in which to visit.
It sounds like a harsh scenario but something major would need to happen for such a tremendous paradigm shift to occur. It probably wouldn't entirely on it's own. People are set in their ways, for the most part, so I had to create this post apocalyptic feel after humans have destroyed almost everything trying to wipe each other out. It's just something to think about and I also hope this thread inspires everyone to enjoy the creative process more, their individual input and what they can think up.

I would move to a terraformed Mars with a bunch of women and men to start a world without all that horror.

Your best option would be a Contained Gravitational Environment [C.G.E.] zooming through interstellar space. This would enable you to comfortably journey until you find a suitable home.

Hate admit it but it would look better than the mans, women have better taste in decorating and keeping the house tidy! We men tend to just turn it into a man cave and mget lazy and make a mess and pick up maybe once a week. The toilet seat would stay up constantly unless we take a number two!

This is true now. What about after 500 years of living apart? How would men and women both compensate for what they do not have access to. Would the men develop these traits on their own since there aren't any women around. Would the men become tidier and neater? Would they more balanced, with feminine and masculine traits since they have been relying on themselves for more than one generation?
Women, too, might become more balanced with both masculine and feminine qualities. Would both sexes be more self sufficient and well rounded?

They couldnt even wage this future war. There would be too much fraternizing with the enemy.

Nope the Upholders of the Eekers and the Treaties prevent this. Drones strike down any violators and they are programmed to detect DNA so if they do a sweep, find DNA that belongs to a female or male in the wrong zone, it instantly dissolves them into nothing.
