They are trying new way to reach out to others.

More like new ways to annoy them.

It seems to me the only thing religions have in common is they don't like JW's.

Atheists don't like them. Mormons HATE them. Catholics sort of laugh them off, like just about all mainline Christians.

Can God make a boulder so heavy that He cannot lift it?

Paradox.

would this not prove that being omnipotent is impossible? but if one is omnipotent, they can simply do the impossible and be omnipotent.

There is no such thing as impossible for the actions of an omnipotent being. Therefore a "god" could left the rock.

Welcome to the omnipotentence paradox.

1. Too Weak

2. Too Lazy

Either disproves the exsistance of a perfect, loving, omnipotent god

Ask them to come inside and pray with you. Gets rid of 'em quick.

A bunch of JWs were heading up my block this morning.
Just come up with something that will keep them away.
{Saying that you don't speak English works like a charm.}

JWs. The religious equivilant to overrated indie movies.

I listened to them once. They babbled on about the end times coming soon, Jehovah's return etc. Explaining how many earthquakes and the amount of people dying from earthquakes and other natural disasters has been steadily increasing in the past century. Ten times more then ever in history. Also that I can be 'saved', only if I become a full-fledged JW (err, I meant to say 'surrender my freedom').

They are right, sort-of, more people are dying from all these natural disasters. Only becuase the population of the Earth is 10 times more and also more densely packed and spread out across the globe, of course more people are dying. Also the reason why there are more earthquakes than 100 years ago, is becuase there are more being detected with todays technology.

An ignorant person might have soaked this all up and possbily think about joining. Thats good for the 'Elders', the more people who join, the more power the Elders gain. The Elder's decide who is worthy of being saved and who will be destroyed in armageddon. Imagine! The power they must feel when they make these decisions over someone. Pure pleasure, to fulfil that natural animal instinct of dominance to the max. These Elders 'feed' off the ignorant, feeding there desire for power.

(going a little off topic now)
This is why all religions reject science and technology. Science and technology can dispel ignorance, and ignorance is the primary thing upon which they feed. It is their source of power. This is why there was the "Dark Ages", a period of time in history were human development was at a standstill. Mans lust for power.

I have donated blood...several times. Am I also un-acceptable?

*makes a note to answer the door wearing the stickers they gave her the last time she donated blood the next time one knocks*
