Creation is the greatest Power in the Universe?
Taking two or more separate things and creating a new thing out of them is creating and it's everywhere.
Now, if you could produce a child from nothing, that would be creation.

Once again I implore you to research your thought bubbles. The laws of physics and the 4 basic forces of the universe are so called because they help predict and understand natural phenomena including themselves. Creation of life requires these laws and forces as it is a natural phenomena. Until someone can show (using empirical evidence) that creation in fact precedes these laws and forces it will be rightly regarded as a consequence of them rather than a cause. Scientific illiteracy in an age where knowledge is so readily at hand is barely inexcusable. You seem fascinated by the universe yet you don't seem willing to take the plunge into evidence based knowledge and prefer to muse like some contemporary aristotelian scholar.
It's just that I look around and see an awful lot of creating.
But it's the law of physics that leads to the creative processes that created us. For instance, atoms come together to create molecules. Sub atomic particles form atoms. Particles themselves can be created in a total vacuum out of nothing. So to deign all that exists as coming from a Devine being who directed everything that has happened is to ignore the laws of physics. You may as well say that God is nothing, as the universe was created out of nothing.
Wow.. three separate discussions with a confusion of who's talking about what.

-creating, courtesy of naturally occurring reactions
-creation, courtesy of a supernatural agent
Do I hear a fourth?
When you've defined what the question is, please let me know.

Instead of using JUST one opinion, I've already provided a definition that is agreed upon per consensus in Wiki:
The general definition of creativity is as follows:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creativity
THIS pretty much covers the WHOLE Enchilada aka The Universe and aka in some THEISTIC GOD circles as GOD.
Change is the reality of now and change is always the creation of something new so NOW IS ALWAYS AN ACTING VERB OF CREATION, AND NOT A STATIC STEADY STATE NOUN OF Creation throughout the constantly changing Universe that is creating something new and priceless in terms of existence every now of every now.
Change does not create something Old or something Same, change creates something NEW ALWAYS NOW, as far as science and humans KNOW NOW ABOUT THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE AS IS NOW.
But of course it is ONLY A SEMANTIC ARGUMENT that changes upon terms and limitations not unlike a CREDIT CARD.
I CHOOSE THE DEBIT CARD THAT IS NOW IN CONSTANT FLUX THAT IS CHANGE AND THE CREATION ACTIVITY OF THE UNIVERSE AS IS ALWAYS NOW.
ANY QUESTIONS? ;)

Now, if you could produce a child from nothing, that would be creation.
Well, according to Steven Hawking and us Classical PanTHEIST leaning folks THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT THE UNIVERSE DID AND IS DOING STILL NOW.
GOD CREATES ITSELF OUT OF NOTHING.
THERE IS TOO much 'common sense' in this, unfortunately, for SOME people to grasp it AS IS.
AND THIS CONTINUING creative force that IS GOD aka THE UNIVERSE IS not finished yet, as nothing HAS NOT YET COME TO PASS AGAIN, AT LEAST NOT YET.
When nothing comes again, then and only then can one say that the entire reality of WHAT IS PER ACTIVE VERB IN CREATION ACTIVITY that is the Universe now is FINISHED CREATING ITSELF EITHER IN A humanly perceived positive or negative way.
And there is ABSOLUTELY NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE NOW THAT AFTER THE CREATION ACTIVITY OF THE UNIVERSE AS IS ONE WHOLE GOD THAT IS NOW IS FINISHED Another Universe WILL NOT 'DECIDE' TO DO 'A SIMILAR DANCE AND SONG' OF CREATION ACTIVITY EXISTENCE AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN, sickeningly so for some, depending on the 'Wheel of Fortune' that is INFINITY AND WHERE "one's existence" ends up in it again and again and again.
So perhaps there is MORE TO CLASSIC PHILOSOPHY than meets our current 'SILLY' LITTLE HUMAN 'eyes'.
'WHO' 'knows'. :)
'we' SURE DO NOT. ;)

If you asking me, yes, I am well versed in it, and if you are asking some else that is not well versed in it, here is a comprehensive consensually agreed upon verse of it here:

I keep reading this to refer to the creation of matter rather than of ideas.
In the case of ideas, this is one very tiny planet in the universe. While it seems likely, we have no evidence that there is any creativity anywhere else in the universe. Thus, it seems rather ridiculous to talk of creation as the greater power in the universe.
This kind of sounds like a pointless discussion over which is the best superpower to possess.

This ^.
If by "creation" you mean causing either matter, or energy, to exist where it did not exist before: then 'creation' does not happen "all around you". Nor does it seem to happen ANY where. Maybe it happen the moment before the Big Bang. But it doesnt happen on a daily basis on the planet's surface "all around you".
Other uses of the word "creation" include examples such as: biological reproduction (microbes, plants, animals, humans, making offspring), growth of an organism, creation of artifacts (humans are prolific creators of inanimate things: pottery, cars, etc), and the creation of abstract ideas. All of the latter: "creating" offspring, creating more tissue on your own body, creating things, and even creating ideas, are all examples of "reversing entropy"- taking matter and energy and taking it to a more organized state. The normal path of the universe is toward increasing entropy: "the world is running down" as Sting sang, things decay and fall apart and go to a less organized state. Living things on earth are able to capture solar energy and put it to work to buck the trend and to locally reverse entropy. But this local reversing of entropy on the planet's surface comes as a by product of the much more massive advance of entropy at the core of the sun: the sun's thermonuclear furnace of the gives off power by increasing entropy of the matter in the sun.
Entropy is the undoing of Creation.

Science has no common sense.
And Philosophy is never a pointless discussion, as for open minds there is always the potential of learning something new, either false or truth.
Some of the simplest open-ended questions posed on this site have generated literally hundreds of comments, while some of the most complex closed ended questions have generated zero comments.
Open ended questions are the best way to go, in any robust discussion of philosophy.
Ms. Ana, is an expert in that common sense method of GENERATING A STIMULUS OF THAT FOR LEARNING something new.
Whether she wits it that way or not, sHE IS the man, I mean woman. :)
In other words, she has intestinal fortitude no matter what the naysayers do per her unique method of enquiry. :)
And no, that is not directed at you friend or anyone else specific to this discussion, as you are just asking an honest question and not personally attacking her intelligence, which is the kind of intelligence that changes things, and does not leave potential philosophical discussion status quo.
