The problem isn't religious, it is cultural. Religions are part of the cultures, of course, but countries where liberal ideals are yet to become mainstream values are going to keep suffering until they do, regardless of whether the religion stays or goes.
If it is a cultur problem, why does not arab-christians girls have hijab? Why does not arab-christans stone people? Why is there no christian arab terrorist-group?
In the Middle East Christian women do wear hajibs, or dress like nuns in the west dress. Christians avoid eating pork in the middle east (a Turkish coworker told me that pigs are rarely even portrayed in pics or spoken of in conversation in the middle east-theyre not even on the radar screen at all of any religious group there)-even though pork eating is not forbidden in Christian religion. And if you're old enought to remember the Seventies, you'll recall hearing the news from the civil war in Lebanon between Christian, and Muslim militias. One day the deadpan newscaster would report "christians murdered 300 villagers in Lebanon today" and then the next day you would hear "Muslims murdered X numbers of villagers" the next day. Both sides were pretty good at terrorizing (as were some of the Jewish Zionist founders of Israel).
