Mostly from the books of the original discovers. Climate history and archaeology are fairly new. I do own some books.

History has been edited, most colleges were religious, and discoveries were suppressed. Gilgamesh was translated in 1903, but not released till after WWII. One, God might object, two the Germans were using history. It is the original story of the flood and the ark, but thousands of years older than Jews.

There is a clear defense of a Judo-Christian timeline. There is big money in that prayer stuff, the largest and most elaborate buildings were churches, with estates, investments, and retirement.

Archaeologists look at that stuff, what part of a dig was temples, royal palaces, how the common people lived, and how long it lasted. Anthropologists are Social Detectives. Where the effort of the people was directed to building temples, palaces, they are mostly found as burnt out remains. Many were just abandoned.

You cannot eat religion, but a fat priest roasted over a fire of holy books is some fine eating.

The Catal Huyuk dig in southern Turkey they thought they hit the royal palace right away, next they thought some Royal And Priestly Quarter, but the whole site was the same. It was all common people.

Caytal Huyuk is the first city. 10,000 people lived there 13,000years ago. They had nice living quarters, irrigated fields, herds, and no religion or royalty. It was inhabited for 5,000 years. The man who did the dig was run out of Turkey, because living like that was Communist, and the CIA closed down the dig. it is still off limits.

Tell Halief northern Iraq, was thought to be a Roman outpost. It had 600 identical living quarters, with ceramic stoves with ovens, a chimney, a water channel over the roof, ponds where water could sun warm, and below a shower and bath, and a flush toilet. Polychrome pottery was found, showing the town as it once was, an ox team yoked to a spoked wheel cart, flower beds in front of the houses, cobble stone paved streets, whitewashed stone houses built in a row. Consumer pottery was also mass produced standard, and high quality. There was no palace or temple, the place was built 1500 years after Catal Huyuk, and abandoned at the same time.

It was built all at once, single plan, and nothing equaled it till Rome, over 5,000 years later. They invented the Franklin Stove, the chimney, have high fire pottery glazed in white with color pictures, good art. The first record of a wheeled cart, and theirs had spoked wheels. The first doors with a hinge post, and latch. The first water and sewer system. Pottery was supposed to be invented 9,000 years ago, they were 2,500 year before that, Theirs was high fired, then glazed and fired again.

All units were identical, the public area seemed a kitchen where food was prepared for all, and eaten in a social group. No Kings, no Priests, no Temples or Palaces, just everyone sharing like the dirty Commies they were.

8,200 years ago it got suddenly cold and dry. The Sahara had been grassland for hundreds of thousands of years, it turned to desert. The people of Catal Huyuk and Tell Halief packed up and moved west, settling on Salisbury Plain in England. The Human Genome Project confirms their DNA. There they built Stonehenge.

While the highlands of Turkey were no longer suited to growing grain, the rivers to the south were. There is no proto Sumerian. A people show up and start growing irrigated grain, 30,000 year old cultivars of grain according to The Human Genome Project. They have a written language, mathematics, and stories about the old days. Gilgamesh is one.

Sumerian archeology shows one small temple mound where the God lived, with art, music, golden trinkets, the best of the best, and servants. Then there were the pens where the Black Haired People who worked the fields lived. Almost all the grain production was for export. Slowly other gods had mounds built, gathered their own Black Haired People, and grain production was huge.

The Black Haired People were Paleolithic. The gods had reached Mesolithic over 30,000 years before.

Besides that, Gilgamesh tells the Black Haired People that he has three ancestors. Like them he is a man. His people then joined with the gods, lived long above the Wall of Heaven, and there they met the wild man. The wild man was strong, so strong none could stand against him. He could kill men and cattle with his hands. Men fought him and died. Then the woman went to him, met him at a spring where he drank, met him naked as he was, and he did not kill her. She brought food and drink, made music and sang, and he became her friend.

The woman brought him to their camp, everyone welcomed him, and they were no longer enemies. Their children joined both groups into one family.

Gilgamesh tells a story 30,000 years old about joining with the Neanderthal which The Human Genome Project confirms.

The Black Haired People are being educated, taught to produce grain for thousands of years, eating bread, then they killed everyone. Some of them thought they should be the Gods. No crops are planted, they kill each other, Gods kill Gods and become Gods. and they are starving. Among them are some who are literate, the Gods were teaching, and they wrote and begged the Gods to return.

Twenty years later they did, soon the land was fruitful again, everyone ate, children were taught, and life was good for a hundred years, then the Black Haired People killed everyone.

Trusted, educated, cared for, for thousands of years, they were still Paleolithic. It was the same as before, they begged the Gods to return, they were ignored. They had always killed each other, fed bread and educated they still killed each other. Killing the killers, the rest were entertained.

The Gods returned a hundred years later, the Gods were angry, The Black Haired People were punished. Kept in pens an worked like the animals they were they were soon happy again. The wrath of the Gods was better than they had been living. Working under the whip from dawn to dusk, they did not have the time to kill each other. They ate every day. The Gods were kind.

This is still early Sumerian history. There was a lot more going on in the rest of the world. There was a world before Crete, Mycenae, Egypt. Besides the massive grain production of Sumaria, the Syrian through Lebanon coast was one big olive orchard. Trade routes reached north of the Black Sea, up the rivers to the Baltic and White Seas, across Europe to England.

I have been working on a series of books for many years. I am working on putting it all in one timeline. Archaeology sees the past in layers, Anthropology sees the cultural goods of one period. I am looking at the flow of time, following developments. Most is uneventful, boring, same old. Some connects events not before connected, and I spend more time on periods of interest. I read the oldest stories, and follow the latest from The Human Genome Project.

Some things I can find no answer for, the Vitrified cities, some I have to go with the change seen being due to the coming of the gods. Some was the best of humans, and I study what conditions lead to it. Most of our advances happened in a few short periods.

Some of this will not be sorted out for another generation or two. I am producing a guide to speculation. Perhaps some young person will read it and follow that path. RDOS came here with his theory of Neanderthal survival in humans. At first I disagreed with him, then studied the matter, and came to agree. Later The Human Genome Project confirmed it. All this happened since you left college. New information comes in from many directions.

My books will have to be updated often. I am old, so I have to go with what I got.

I did not intend to write about Gods and Aliens, it started as a study of the development of invention and technology. Gods and Aliens just showed up. Research shapes my thinking, facts form pictures, I try to write what I saw.

I am up to working on my web site, a picture of what the world looked like 40,000 years ago. I have the machines to print and bind, soon Book One will be for sale.

It is not an Academic Study, with footnotes and bibliography, it is action adventure storytelling, woven from a lifetime of collecting facts. It was done by people in very adverse circumstances. They did it, and should get credit for their work. Everyone with Indo-European ancestors, your DNA was there, it has memory, I am trying to awaken it. The leading Archeologist, Colin Renfrew wrote a book about that. Edward O. Wilson wrote Consilience, about the need to break down borders between knowledge, and go for big pictures.

I have two books, a quarter million words, and I am only down to, "15,500 years ago the Gods came from the west."

Having no proof for the existence of something is foundational to ignorant superstition, which is religion without the political clout.

Interesting how the alleged 'proof' for these assertions of "Space aliens on Earth" is either lost, destroyed, or politically inaccessible, and how there always seems to be a conspiracy to keep the alleged 'evidence' from becoming public knowledge.

Some people are more interested in being believed than in providing actual proof.

"God was a space alien" ... "Space aliens are the devil" ... What next, "Earth is a hologram"?

I know Catal Huyuk, and in fact religion was known to have been practiced there, as the idols of a male deity and his female consort have been recovered.

I did not say they lacked Mythology, just Temples, Priests, Places and Kings.

Where you see a male god and his consort, I see the Sacred Twins, the brother sister that continued the line of the gods. The same vulture motif, also found in Egypt, where the god was three, with his sister wife, and his daughter wife. Same for Inca, and Polynesia.

The human side had their own, the period is called The Age of the Great Mother.

What I am pointing out is the first two cities had a high technology, and every one was of a single class.

Equality, and stability, until the drying that caused the Sahara. Also a dip in the Holocene climate, a short cold period. Both happen 8,200 years ago.

Catal Huyuk and Tell Halief were both planed. They were built by people who had a technology. It was not a local development.

During the great flood, the gods came from the west 15,500 years ago. They built cities of mud brick and stone, a first, and irrigated fields, another first. They had wheeled carts, and mass produced standard items. Their cities lasted over 5,000 years.

The domestic grains and animals had long been around, humans did that. The gods were in awe of the children of the Great Mother.

Gilgamesh tells the story, in it the gods are a people, the humans a people, and the wild man a people. Those two had joined 15,000 years before the gods came. Then they joined with the gods and became a single people. Gilgamesh calls them his ancestors, not some force in the sky, not something that created humans, just family.

It's an interesting thought. I recall when I was a Christian that this notion was more believed by pentecostal/charismatic Christians. The essence of it is, as I recall, that the whole of creation was created for man, and anything seemingly supernatural (or not part of this world) which distracts from God has to be of the devil.

I used to counter that with words from a Christian folk/rock singer from the 70's. I think he's still around. Here's just some of the lyrics:

As I recall my professor's lecture, the two idols had been located in a temple setting, albeit a small one.
