Not to mention the fact that they had no use for this land until we made the improvements, but now they want to immigrate in droves. I have seen estimates where they believe that their Spanish ancestors caused the deaths of millions of Native Americans.

This is absurd. Why should anyone be ashamed of their race? It's not exactly optional. If people want something to be ashamed of then it should be their own actions when they are out of line. Out of line would include things like intentionally mistreating others, stealing, abusing etc...

Or you're excessively prone to taking things personally that have nothing to with you as a person.

That Europeans rose to dominate the planet after 1500 AD doesn't make you (a White person) superior, but it also doesn't make a White person inferior. Taking pride in achievements you had nothing to do with, or being ashamed of crimes done centuries ago that you personally had nothing to do with are equally ridiculous. I praise you for not expressing bigotry against other races, but don't be bigoted against yourself either.

A ridiculous way of saying "white person". Used mostly by Americans.
The incorrect term used to label a "white" man or woman. The word Caucasian refers to a person who is from the region of Caucasus, which is in Europe bordering Turkey and Iran. Therefore, I am not a Caucasian being that I am not from Caucasus.
I am European. In continental Europe, "Caucasian" currently refers exclusively to people who are from the Caucasus.

... I was not referring to any one individual in particular, but collectively those xgoober-brainsx people who believe that an individual should be ashamed of their affluence, ancestry, or gender - those goober-brains!

Caucasian doesn't really mean anything to me to begin with....except a term loosely tied to 'white' people that shows up in race selection things of surveys and what not, but is inaccurate. But if you are using caucasian to mean white though then no, I do not see the point of being ashamed over it.

In my college years WASP stood for White Anglo-Saxon Protestant. Over the years added connotations included conservative voting, gun toting, blue collar, and the "good ole' boy" list goes on and on. I think I can say with fair certainty that NONE of my white friends practise the WASP lifestyle outside of their skin colour.

I don't know, maybe?

If you say your proud of being white its racist but if you say your proud of being black Hispanic Asian etc its not!
