Do you think there is a correlation between AS and atheism?

It can go both ways. People on the spectrum tend to either be very non-religious, or very religious due to our predisposition to black-and-white thinking. Those of us who are non-religious tend to be this way because we have trouble grasping the more abstract concepts of religion, and this is the camp that I fall into. Those of us who are religious tend to be because we tend to follow rules to a tee, and to me at least, this is what religions often seem to boil down to.
Now, I'm an odd case in that I've always hated following rules and found them to be restricting. Part of this is because for much of my life, I didn't really get the concept of "bending rules"; I was always either following them or breaking them. I've always had somewhat of a rebellious spirit, though interestingly, during my teenage years when it became the "norm" to break the rules, I rebelled against it by not partying and doing all that other BS I felt I was too young for. However, I did pursue interests and hobbies that I felt went against the grain of what people my age were doing. I still do this somewhat now.

Just echoing what you said, since AS is commonly linked to higher IQ, then most people on the spectrum would be more likely to succumb to skeptical thought processes.
There may also be correlation between the logical processes that most people with AS are likely to go through combined with the logic that is required to ascertain the logical stance that there isn't enough evidence to deem any particular Theistic religion true.
