Occupy Movement Will Now Be DEMOCRACY SPRING

I wish they would just stick to one name, like "Revolutionary Marxist Youth Brigade." Then everybody wouldn't have to keep ordering new tee shirts and business cards every year.

It depends on what happens before Election Day. I have not yet made up my mind. Right now, it's either "Not Trump" or "Not Clinton" ... likely both.

No matter how certain you feel about the correctness about some of your beliefs, it's your responsibility as someone who wants to understand reality and believe things that are true, to try to understand where people who don't share your opinions are really coming from. That means reading their words and trying to understand their assumptions. Not just hit pieces written against them by people on your side. Political opponents often misrepresent each others views, especially at election time.

Personally, I'm considering voting for ANYONE who is nominated by the Libertarian Party, even if it's Mickey Mouse or Arnold the Pig, as a protest vote. I can't quite get why Americans have to choose between Hillary the Traitor who left a US Ambassador to die in Benghazi, among many many other crimes, or Donald "Mr. Bankruptcy" Trump who has gone bankrupt, directly or indirectly, something like two dozen times. He couldn't run a conga line, and people expect him to run the entire f*****g planet? Nope.

I'm not sure if the Trumpites could start a civil war, much less run one successfully. Little known fact: the "recruits" for the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War were so awful that George Washington had to hire a German nobleman to whip the recruits into shape. And even then, he was frighteningly reliant on France for everything from gunpowder to paying his soldiers. Louis XVI only did so because he wanted revenge on England for England's victory in the Seven Years War. Blowback can suck, which I'm sure Louis realized as his head was being placed in a guillotine.

So yeah, you have a bunch of ranchers and white supremacists against the US Army. The "freedom fighters" mainly have a bunch of cheap AK's from China and aging ammo. No munitions, no airplanes, they're generally landlocked, a lot of the territory they would claim is desert and mountainous forest so they couldn't produce much food-the food they have stored is also old and much of it is extremely cheap unmilled wheat and ramen. And it wouldn't last very long, either.

The best they might do is cut some of the east-west interstate highways for a while, preventing California food from making its way east. Eventually they'd likely be limited to carved-out semi-autonomous mini-states, similar in principle to the Navajo Nation and similar Native American areas. This big fantasy they have of storming Washington DC and burning the Capitol and hanging all the politicians is probably not going to happen.

That reminds me: I've been meaning to buy a shotgun.
