Could "young woman" in Ancient Hebrew have had an euphemistic meaning--like "virgin?"

Sort of like an "alewife" in medieval England was sort of an euphemism for a loud, rambunctious, difficult woman?

I wonder if the Hebrew term you mentioned could have evolved from meaning "virgin" during pre-Christian days, to having a more generic "young woman" meaning by Jesus' time.

I wouldn't think this is so, though. It seems to me that, in the evolution of language, that the generic term more frequently becomes more specific as time proceeds.

I have thought of getting a storage place spot ~ I have thought of getting a PO box , USPO or private , but that would be , if less than the storage , an especially large initial month's expense .
I have no bank account , either , not enough money to put aside right now in one - and , I even had that crappy Green Dot ATM card stolen from me - aside from the money in it being stolen , I now have no way , whatever its dodginess , to even put money in the Green Dot , to get a new card I'd have to outlay money to buy one and initially put $ in it ...

Years ago I heard the Bible is of the most stolen books from libraries. Haven't clarified.

Yes, I am, and Mom wouldn't let me go to university because "you need to learn to type." But I try not to be tiresome.

This "virgin" business matters a lot to RC's like me. The Church hangs so much nonsense on it. If it had been resolved, I guess I'd have heard by now. They're still having hysterics over the idea that he had a brother.

When it comes to interpreting the bible, I think the bible itself gives the gold standard.

Especially 1 Corinthians.
I think Love is the best guiding light for correct understanding of scripture.

Myself , I get into a " be a praying man/put myself in God's reins-yoke " mood - Then , I read something at random , and perhaps it's another " the israelites do wrong , so YHWH announces , ' I will send you into the wilderness and you will despair and taste bitter thorns , but after three generations you will be brought back ' " story - etcetera .
And what did that fig tree ever do to Jesus ?
