I feel one of the major points that debunks communism( marxism) is that equality does not apply to all especially those at the top. The people at the top are extremely wealthy while the ordinary prolatariat have to live lives of forced austerity to support the extravagance of those at the top. It is the same as any other economic system.

Doesn't debunk anything, it's only historically that it was like that, but ideally it isn't. Of course, in capitalism that happens without calling it 'corruption'.
