Remember. It's only a conspiracy theory until there's evidence.

If the Lincoln investigators had followed your maxim to wait until evidence presents itself, the conspirators would likely have lived long lives.

You're somewhat wide of the mark. I was seeking to head off what I perceived to be an inevitable dismissal on the grounds of conspiracy theory.

It seems to have worked... so far.

Shall we commence the whining about how no Clinton supporters have dared to come over here and defend her yet? Seems to be the thing to do in the Trump threads, anyway.

I'm not sure there are enough Trump supporters on here to maintain the watch, so to speak. The pro Clinton camp can make no such excuses.

What do we have, 5, maybe 10 Trump supporters here on the board? The Clinton people seem to treat the Clinton skeptical as de facto Trump supporters, but that's pretty par for the course in my experience.

I can only recall one person by name who has actually declared support for Trump, so I'm probably not the best person to ask.

I've spoken up in his defence a few times, but my interest lies in discerning fact from fiction. I do think he's the best of two less-than-perfect options, but that's for you lot over the pond to decide.

Wikileaks confirmed via Twitter that the Ecuadorian embassy caved to pressure from outside and were the ones who cut Julian Assange's Internet access. It was over the leaking of the Goldman Sachs speeches which Hillary Clinton gave. The ones where she backed Wall Street. Wikileaks have also lost phone and net channels with 14 other representatives of their own organisation.

Real power lies in the threat of what you won't do, rather than what you will.

When you guys start crowing for the imprisonment of Bush, Cheney, Powell and Rice for the disappearance of the 22 million emails from the planing stages of the Iraq war (you know, the ones they were storing on a private server maintained by the RNC), then I will believe that your outrage about Clinton's private email is something other than bloviating over bovine excreta.

Did you notice that this thread isn't about the email server thing?

Hmmm, I guess Jacoby was posting about that swill from wikileaks, "Clinton rolled down the limo window in Palestine!" etc.

But I am pretty sure there was a post that I was responding to that was about.... email servers and a "quid pro quo."

I'm also pretty sure that the dump from wikileaks contains a lot of stuff about diplomatic procedure and white house potocol about which folks like Jacoby had no concern whatsoever until it seemed like there might be something to use against Clinton there. Because the tale of how stuff went down under W is extreme and of zero interest.

I know we are trying to be honest, here. :D

Haven't I seen you dismiss this exact argument multiple times when it's used the other way?

No, I don't think so.

Assange was the liberal's darling when he was exposing corruption on the right; now he's the enemy.

We can confirm Ecuador cut off Assange's internet access Saturday, 5pm GMT, shortly after publication of Clinton's Goldman Sachs speechs.

Any of you actually hear about those Goldman Sachs' speeches? For some reason the media thinks it is better to spend it's time covering hearsay slander from over 30 years ago and 'lewd' language? Media blackout!

The system is rigged! The election is rigged!

I don't think you are quite on target, there. People saw Assange, Snowden and Manning as a sort of triumvirate who took on the police/information/surveillance state by exposing the breadth of operations against citizens.

The excesses of the Police State were always as much the product of the left as of the right.

Obama has hardly been active in reigning this stuff in.

The reason people aren't all excited about the Goldman Sach's speeches is that there is nothing there.

But the rigged thing, that's really something to think about, you know?

Stop reading so many conspiracy websites and stop being paranoid- thats my message to all the people that support Trump and his "rigged" claims.
