That shouldn't surprise anyone. After all, these are the same people who have no problem with dehumanizing and marginalizing minority groups, such as calling all Muslims terrorists, all gays pedophiles, all blacks criminals, all Latinos illegals, etc. These are the same people who fail to see why the Confederate flag is offensive to anyone, or who want to deny gays the right to love who they want, or who want to deny trans Americans the right to sh*t where they damn well please. All this comes from their adamant refusal to feel empathy for others they despise.
why can't more aspies here get this?
Most of us do, I think. I like to think that vocal minority that revels in bullying and rigid ideology aren't most of us.
I sure wish they'd speak up more.

Perhaps, but there's something exceptionally cruel about ridiculing a physical disability, which a person is not responsible for, and which almost certainly makes a person a target of bullies since childhood, compared to a person's political or social views.

He did absolutely no such thing. That's a filthy Leftist lie, and anyone who says he did is repeating that filthy Leftist lie.
Anyone who views the OP's clip and several others like it that different people have put together and can't understand the Leftist lie is so incapable of rational thought that they should seek counseling for themselves.
OMG, how do you really feel?
Of course he mocked the reporter's disability. You can see him do it for yourself. Trump thinks that he can take a s**t on people and as long as he says he didn't, they won't mind. Look to actions not words.
Did you watch the video or not?
All I'm seeing from you is predictions of what Trump will do and then you're judging him by your own predictions. If you are clairvoyant then please help me win a lot of money.

Did you watch the video or are you basing your opinion on one side of the story? I hope you don't get called up for jury duty.

Why? Because it isn't all true!! !! !! !! !! !! !!
People who find the Confederate flag offensive are most likely victims of chosen history. There were slave states fighting for North and Lincoln was a white supremacist who wanted to send black people back to Africa or have racial apartheid.
And you made it quite clear you didn't care about Clinton's crimes, you wanted her in to make your life better. Nice empathy.

If you wanted to vote for the lesser of the bullies, then I'm afraid Trump was the right one. Clinton bullies and attacks her own staff when things don't go her way.

Yes, there were some slave states that had stuck with the Union. There were plenty of Unionists in the south who either went north to fight in the Union army, or who carried out guerilla warfare inside the Confederacy (as with Newton Knight in Mississippi). That doesn't erase the fact that the war had been started by the wealthy plantation owners who had the most invested in the continuation of slavery, or that most poor southern whites had fought for the Confederacy for racial reasons, despite the fact that most didn't own slaves. After all, poor white southerners perceived themselves as being hardly a step above slaves themselves, and realized they would lose what little social standing they had if blacks were free and their equals.
As for Lincoln being a white supremacist - nothing could be further from the truth, and exists only in right wing fantasy. While Lincoln had toyed with the idea of giving freed blacks their own country, it was only because he felt whites would never accept them. The fact is, Lincoln came to realize that realistically, whites would have to learn to live with blacks, and that sending them elsewhere was practically impossible. In fact, in his final public speech, which cost him his life (John Wilkes Boothe was in the audience, and swore then that he would kill the President), Lincoln spoke of how full citizenship and voting rights would be extended to blacks. So much for Lincoln's white supremacy. If anything, Lincoln was very much ahead of his time in regard to racial matters.
As for the Confederate flag - forget for the moment that that treasonous rag was the standard for those who had tried to rip my country in half. The Confederate battle flag was resurrected by racists in the south who opposed desegregation in the 1950's and 60's, and has gained the same status among white nationalists today that the Swastika holds. Trust me, plenty of Americans have every right to be offended by it.

The war didn't start because of slavery. Lincoln didn't even mention it until the war had been going on for a couple of years. Haha. I'm afraid you ought to branch away from CNN.
"A separation of the races is the only perfect preventive of amalgamation but as all immediate separation is impossible the next best thing is to keep them apart where they are not already together. If white and black people never get together in Kansas, they will never mix blood in Kansas." Abraham Lincoln 1857. Sounds pretty white supremacist to me. Maybe Speilberg missed that bit in his film? Maybe Lincoln altered his views later on to get votes like a lot of politicians do, who knows.
You forget to mention that a version of the Confederate flag was used by the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party, who were endorsed by Martin Luther King Jr. Cause the flag stands for rebellion, not slavery!
You probably ought to be more worried about the American flag itself.

How do you know Trump doesn't bully his staff? Are you friends with him?
All people can go on is the public stuff Trump has said- a lot of bullying and harassment! I doubt he is much better when not in public.
It was always a lie, the reporter's disability had nothing to do with Trump's comment or gesturing as the reporter has a disability that restricts movement and a normal voice. Trump was mocking the fact that the no longer was standing by his story about Muslims cheering on 9/11 which people were trying to say Trump made up when in reality many other people observed it. People will believe anything if they want to believe in it.

Yes, even the revolting gift of cash to the girl.
I hate to go into so much detail about this, but I think the way Trump held his hand was a specific reference to Kovaleski. In the Russian reference he does a marching thing. So I think he tries to actually do impressions of the object of his mocking. Even the one where he shakes the same hand, he doesn't hold it up the same way.
However, I will agree that he probably didn't mean much harm by it. He probably didn't have KellyAnne Conway back then.

Just because Lincoln had not mentioned slavery till later in the war hardly means that slavery wasn't the cause. In fact, the Confederate states clearly stated that the continuation of slavery and white supremacy was their motivation for secession.
And so what if Lincoln had made some rather deplorable statements concerning blacks earlier on. His change of mind, and his actions in ending slavery, are far more important. Why don't you take Confederate leaders to task for being unreconstructed racists? And by the way, Lincoln hardly changed his views to get votes, as even in the north, abolition was unpopular for most of the war, till Lincoln gradually guided public opinion to change on the matter.
I did not base my knowledge of Lincoln on the Spielberg movie, or CNN, but on what I learned at Eastern Washington University when I was earning my Bachelors degree in history.
And who cares if the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party had used the Confederate flag, far more racists who murdered innocent people for either being civil rights activists, or for just being black, flew that treasonous rag. American historian and son of the south, Shelby Foote, had stated that white southerners like himself had lost the right to fly the Confederate flag when they had allowed the KKK to make it their emblem.
