Do Trumpites live in an alternate reality?

They ignore things. Nurseangela is a perfect example of that. She came into this thread, ignored the original content, and responded to the stuff about Invanka Trump's fashion line. They ignore that Trump lies all the time and contradicts his own statements and has put a bunch of wealthy, incompetent people in his inner circle as opposed to "draining the swamp" as he promised.

I strongly agree. It's unfortunate how selfish people can be.

I think once Trump's stuff hurts them, then perhaps many of the Trump supporters will realize things are horrible. The big thing I still don't understand- how people are somehow fine with pay-to-play crap? Betsy DeVos PAID her way into the education job. Being an "advocate" for education doesn't qualify her for the job at all. It's apparently fine for Republicans to do "pay-to-play" and other corruption things because their candidate that won. :roll:

Trump and friends keep trying to silence their foes- certain media outlets, democrats, etc. That's simply not right, PERIOD! If people are getting silenced- it's clear Trump and others want to control the media to only favor them, and never show the bad stuff. That's very sickening. I wont completely compare these people to Hitler or others just yet, but I will say it is looking like a dictatorship by an egomaniac and his goons. Trump can't handle his feelings hurt so he has to send out Spicer and others to whine for him. Pathetic!

Republicans need to wake up and do something before it gets a ton worse.

Perhaps Nurseangela focused on Ivanka Trump's fashion line because it's a relatively new subject. The other stuff mentioned has already been discussed for months. Not saying it can't be discussed further, but I can see how something new in the mix would gain more attention.

But I have a question. I've heard the complaint that he didn't really "drain the swamp", so what should he have done that would have actually drained the swamp?

He only wanted to drain the swamp so he could make room for bigger snakes.

In recent news- Kellyanne Conjob is now promoting Ivanka Trump's clothing line. Seriously- I wish I was making this up. She should be during her regular job- not trying to sell crap sold by the daughter of the president! PERIOD. Flint, Michigan needs clean water as one big example. Another example- oil spills that haven't been cleaned up. I don't care if she only mentioned the clothing a tiny bit- it was still a horrible conflict of interest that shouldn't have happened.

A ton of Ivanka's junk she is selling isn't made in America! If someone related to Donald Trump can't even get stuff made here, how the hell does he except others to stay in America? Oh I know- tax breaks and bonuses as bribes- which has happened many times and will keep happening. SICKENING

These people are corrupt and not being too secretive about it, because Republicans have control of congress so they will do what they want, when they want. It's horrible.

Twist the story around all you want, call up alternate facts if you will, but at the end of the day, the conclusion will still be the same.


The conclusion definitely should be the same, they should immediately be detained by the US and removed from the country permanently. If they are terrorists then they should face the same fate all terrorists do, terrorists like this if caught on the battlefield should be summarily executed as allowed under the Geneva Convention as they do not meet the definition of a lawful combatant which must meet these conditions to be entitled to prisoner of war status. Unlawful combatants are not protected by the Geneva Conventions unless the following

a) that of being commanded by a person responsible for his subordinates;
(b) that of having a fixed distinctive sign recognizable at a distance;
(c) that of carrying arms openly;
(d) that of conducting their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war.

As they pled guilty, I imagine the choice came up of facing trial as an enemy combatant.

By "draining the swamp," tRump was talking about getting rid of the entire bureaucracy that is endemic to Washington, D.C. (Which is built on a swampy section of the Potomac River.), including Conned-Gress, thereby leaving home the sole supreme ruler of the now Dis-United States.
