I don't hear Catholics calling themselves Christians. They say 'I'm a Catholic'. But what is a Catholic? I have no idea.

Catholicism is a branch of Christianity. Christianity has many different denominations and subdivisions under it. In the forth century, the Roman empire adopted Christianity as its state religion. The state worked to foster the union of many of the different early sects within Christianity into a central religious organization and common doctrine, centered around the Christian sect in Rome. Thus, as a result, the Bible was written and Catholicism emerged as the main faction of Christianity. Following the fall of the Roman Empire, disputes over the use of icons and the power roles of the pope vs. the Byzantine emperor led to a schism, in which the eastern part of the church split to become Orthodox Christianity. Later in the sixteenth century, religious disputes over indulgences, the Eucharist, how human behavior in life effected ones fait in the after life, and various other doctrinal issues, caused various segments to split off from the catholic church and form the beginning of the Protestant denominations.
I'll stick with basic Christianity I don't like all these different religious sects.

I voted "Other no religion". I'm not a atheist, a theist or an agnostic. It has no real effect on my life so I just really don't care.

far too busy trying to pass exams and get crap sorted out to even bother with much spirituality but for the sake of answering the question this ^^ most closely matches my view.

raised roman catholic in latino household. had baptism, first communion. haven't been a churchgoer since like....2008?

Exactly what I feel. I care much more about what my professors think of me than what God thinks of me if there is one.

Wow I just realize the ratio between those who believe in a religion vs those who don't is currently precisely 1:1. It is funny because at the start of the survey, it was like 70% no religions lol.

Add me to the Christian list.
Have been member of several different denominations through the decades as what town I lived in and what church I felt led to varied.
And as it happens, the little antebellum river landing midwestern farm burg I currently live in is important in the history of the Presbyterian church in the US - kinda cool! What wasn't cool was that in this town the denomination split in two from 1861 during the US Civil War all the way until 1983. But it is cool that a path to healing and reconciliation was found. Churches are made of people, and you know how people are ... :)

Atheist, although post-theist is more accurate. Raised Catholic, turned Christian for about 6 months at age 11, then became an atheist and never changed again.

I generally try to see the wisdom and truth within all religions and belief systems, yet not strictly adhere to any one. I suppose you could say, then, that I'm undecided/NA
