Before anyone takes me to task for being prejudiced against everyone in the south, or of Scots-Irish descent, I hardly count everyone in those areas as rednecks. Here on WP, MissLizard, who hails from that part of the country, is one of my all time favorite members.

2. Marx invented communism which believes there should be non private property (guns) and which could never be brought about if people owned guns(they'd resist their property being seized) communist government always seized guns first.

I vote mostly republican and it's most cause the democrat politicians are anti gun. I'm certainly not going vote for someone who'll strip my civil rights away. Rednecks are way more pro gun then even me.

edit: One's wealth is merely that, a measurement of wealth. One's cultural beliefs, style, and philosophy aren't necessarily tied to one's wealth. And I would argue, Bill Gates has done more for society through innovation than Jeff Foxworthy has done through joke telling.

Depends on how you define redneck.
There still are small family farms here,mostly beef.They tend to vote conservative becuse of gun rights and their Christian values.But not all of them,the organic farmers tend to vote liberal becuse of climate and Monsanto.
Sometimes everyone in the South gets called a redneck,at one time that was a term used to define the uneducated working poor.Ive even been called a redneck,imagine that.

Humans are hardwired to have antipathy for those they consider to be different from themselves. Since "rednecks" tends to live in small homogeneous communities, those they consider "different" tend to run the gamut of race, sexual orientation, and culture. Diversity is extremely upsetting and threatening to these folks and the GOP exploits this.
Even the GOP economic message is tied-up in racism...

The Democrats have lost the middle class, because they don't care about them.

I know lower middle class people that as a couple have to pay $14,000 for Obamacare premiums . Thanks to Trump's instructions to the IRS to ignore the mandate, they cancelled their Obamacare.

I blame the Clintons for this fiasco. Back in '92 they openly courted corporate money, which of course means corporate influence, to the detriment of the pro-labor, pro-worker positions the party once held. Now it's a non-issue, both parties are heavily influenced by corporate interests which have harmed the majority of voters in both parties as well as non-voters in the 25 years since.
