Scientists do debate it. As well as those who are very intelligent and well educated. That's why there's been hundreds of threads like these ever since Usenet began. As opposed to considerably fewer debates regarding the theory of gravity.

Scientists that aren't biologists or geologists might debate evolution, but very few scientists that are in those two fields debate evolution.

Which leaves quite a lot of scientists and other intelligent well educated people who have debated it. I'm just pointing out that fact - but not drawing any conclusions based on it.

There are scientists, like the guy who invented the CAT scan machine, who are YECs. But they don't actively "debate" the issue as far as I know. They don't publish arguments against it.

The theory of evolution isn't debated in the scientific community.

There is also plenty of fossil evidence to support it along with all the molecular and anatomical evidence.

It is, but not in the way that's usually suggested. Evolution is a fact, and denying it suggests a profound lack of understanding and probably an ideologically mandated prohibition to even considering it on its own merits.

What is being debated and examined are the specifics of evolution, how population dynamics function over time and things like phyletic gradualism vs. punctuated equilibrium.

Questioned by people who would prefer to peddle mythology as science. Outside of those fringe groups it's as accepted as the theory of gravity. Also, the Discovery Institute are known for promoting pseudo-science and trying to reframe this issue as being controversial; they lack legitimacy.

Finally, scientists who aren't in the field of biology arguing against evolution might be scientists but they're not experts in this particular field - they're merely laymen like you and I.

Nothingness exploded, before there was even such a thing as time, let alone first cause, and created a complex order. It makes perfect, logical sense.

It came from an infinitesimal point, before such a thing as space, location, and relativity.

This is all internally-consistent, as judged by it's own claims.

So then only a biologist is qualified to talk about evolution either pro or con and the rest are just joe blow tossing out unqualified opinions?
