Hulagu Khan is still used a scary figure for bed stories in modern Iraq and Gulf. It is said he burned the largest library in Baghdad history, an act which considered to be the mark that started the dark ages in the Middle East, followed by the rule of their cultural kin-cousins, the Ottomans (there's a strong historical relationship between Turkic tribes and Mongols).
Most of the Mongols who remained in west Asian did convert later to Islam, the Mughal Empire was a Muslim mongol empire (Hint: the guys who built Taj Mahal).

It's a small world.
These people are Chinese and muslim.

They look more Kurdish than Chinese.
They are a central Asian Turkic people known as Uyghurs but their nationality is Chinese.
So in other words they are NOT Chinese. What you mean is that they are citizens of the PPR, but they are NOT ethnic Han Chinese, but are Uighurs from Xinjiang Province to the northwest of China Proper (the one forth part of China that's actually inhabited by ethnic Chinese). Like the Tibetians an ethnic minority in region ruled by China. And like the Tibetans they don't like being ruled by China because the Chinese treat them rotten.
.
Wow. Some people here actually want to bring back British Palestine ... even though the British Empire is responsible for starting the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Who voted for the British Empire? Why?

Correct. I am speaking of nationality and not ethnicity.

We can start by giving Middle Eastern women back their rights to work, vote and show their faces. We can also cut down on the violent crimes against the women who live in that part of the world.
Please, really many of you should stop talking BS and misinformation, women in the most of the Middle East had the rights to vote and been working since the 50s/60s. And veiling is only mandatory in KSA and Iran (and socially in Afghanistan), just do a quick image googling of women in countries other than KSA and Iran.
This for example Qatar, one of the most conservative Arab countries (their regime is an offshoot of Muslim Brotherhood):
