And, of course, we had the Civil War.

I don't think it's a question of like or dislike when the individual in question should probably be on trial in the Hague.

What General Sherman did to the South was very cruel.

But I guess the lesson to be learned in that is don't start a war that you have no chance in hell of winning.

However imagine how horrifying it would be for all of our country if our seemingly unstoppable government became so corrupt and totalitarian? I think it would deserve to be overthrown but that would be impossible.

Bum rushing the white house is completely moronic but someone's got to do it. Might as well be the FBI but are any of you inclined to stake your patriotism on the feds anymore?

I have not been patriotic since the day I saw the photos of American soldiers raping and torturing naked Iraq POWs in Abu Ghraib when I was 19. How can anyone still love their country after seeing something like that? :(

In actuality, the South did pretty well in the Civil War until Gettysburg, despite severe disadvantages.

If Lincoln would have stayed alive, we wouldn’t have had the crap that went on in the South until the 1970s.

He would have been smarter in dealing with the South.

Yeah most likely.

Also I don't think people really understand why the South takes pride in the Confederacy and Civil War. Slavery or No Slavery they still fought bravely for a cause they really believed in despite losing miserably.

The Geneva Convention is a joke because countries like the US continue to violate it all the time and don't get punished nearly as much as they should.
