I sense that she withholds certain "favors" from Donald.....

Maybe. Just like Margaery from Game of Thrones, she has kind of a disturbing control over an abusive narcissist.

It’s a wonder she doesn’t withhold it all although I suppose that it is part of their business arrangement (i.e. marriage)...

Maybe she is to Trump what Eva Braun was to Hitler?

.... Maybe she's a regular person who didn't ask for her husband to be president, who is shy and uncomfortable in the political spotlight, who devotes herself to raising her (quite possibly autistic) son, and who deserves some empathy --especially from people who are equally shy in social situations?

Maybe the pros and cons of her femininity and / or sexuality and personality shouldn't be critiqued or second guessed by people who don't know her?

Maybe she should have some privacy?

Just a thought.

I agree with Isabella's take on it.

I'm sick of people being judged and shamed for their gender role, or whether they conform to society's expectation.

Why can't this woman be a role model?
Is it because she's shy and dignified, and raises her son attentively, while seeking privacy?

Is she a frigid narcissist, just because she has different values than the media expects?

I thought we'd come further than this in the 21st Century.

I agree with you Izzy. I think she's most likely a decent person who's real loyalties are to her family. I don't blame her for that at all.

And as I said before, there's nothing at all "weak" about being feminine! Pretty flowers have their strengths too!

Judgmental, sexist rhetoric like that gets my blood boiling.

Donald Trump isn’t that great as far as women or children (immigrants who were separated from their families) are concerned. He seems remarkably unpleasant but has a lot of money and married a former model...

And as for my comparing her to Margaery Tyrell from Game of Thrones, I guess I should have mentioned that I LIKE Margaery! Margaery may have been phony in her attitudes towards like the people (like 90% of all politicians), BUT she was very smart and clever and knew how to keep her cool in the company of crazy psychopaths like the Lannisters and she somehow brought out the best in her fiance Joffrey.

I guess in a symbolic way I'm hoping that the Carnation will influence the Eagle for the better the same way that the Rose influenced the Lion in Game of Thrones. But that was a fantasy TV show, it probably wont work that way in real life...

Or maybe it will?
