In his recent court case, which was not covered by mainstream press, but only by Human Rights and Torture experts, Assange showed signs of serious torture. My husband was brutally tortured in Ecuador, this has nothing to do with Assange and the Ecuador Embassy, just sharing my experience of torture victims, I know the signs intimately and what it does to people. I am also an independent journalist and anyone that exposes corruption is currently being slandered or exposed as a fraud as most governments are covering up some form of corruption. The problem we have is that there is no transparency in governments and there needs to be. This aspect is linked to why my husband was brutally tortured after being kidnapped, some factions were shadow government people who were trying to use him as a tool for various agendas. Assange is being used in this way and the prejudice against him outways his fair treatment, the British government has gone above and beyond to treat him inhumanely.

I'd love to know what the UK University leading Journalism lecturers say about this case, I was at University of Westminster for my postgrad Journalism MA, which I couldn't afford to continue at the time 20 years ago, so I had to leave halfway through,It was okay though as I knew I wanted to be independent and I knew I wanted to write about the environment and not work for a Newspaper where I would be told what to write for the government. I remember we studied journalism and law, how Assange is being treated in court and in prison has already violated many of a journalists rights, let alone human rights, moreover, the Guardian and other news papers have used his name in slander and libel countless times. Aside from that, using judges *Lord James Arbuthnot* that are implicated in wikileaks cables is in contempt of fair justice. Its unbelievable, Britian is in the US pocket
