I really do. I'm starting to think maybe all the negative stereotypes about the south really are true and that I was being a silly fool for defending this place. :|

You've just had bad luck.

Most Southern people are not like that.

But I suppose that's better than what a countries like Russia and China have done. Maybe we're the lesser of three evils? :D

Dude, you should really think about moving to Canada. While Canada and the U.S. don't have open borders, since you think the U.S. is so horrible and you're not happy here, maybe your life would change for the better if you immigrated to Canada.

History is full of scores of people that left their country of birth with nothing but two coins to rub together and went somewhere else where they were happier. Save up a little money and/or sell everything you own and trek up to the border and tell them that you'd like to live in Canada. Why not?

Hmm, maybe someday. If the s**t really hits the fan for me here in the US...

If I went by what's on telly I likely wouldn't have a great opinion of them but going by the ones I've met in person they seem alright and up for having fun but not keen on walking very far :-)

It's more "real" when you meet someone in person----than if you "meet" them on the Telly.

People aren't like those idiots who star in "reality shows."

I used to walk three miles to Walmart every day when I lived in a bigger city. ;)

I would do more walking here but I got bit by a dog. I still have a scar. :(

Speaking of reality stars, I hate our president. I can't stress that enough!

Both of those are true. We tend to be ok, and fun loving folks here in the states. But most Americans can't handle walking more than a 100 yards at a time.

People in New York City (especially Manhattan) are used to walking at least a few miles a day.

And honestly it's hard to walk when you live out in the middle of nowhere like I do. No sidewalks and lots of dangerous critters roaming around like dogs and even snakes. Plus the stores are all miles apart.

America is a mindset:

Rugged Individualism

Your problems are YOUR F**KING problems, not my problems

You have no one else to blame but yourself.

Patriotism

National Pride

Beliefs in rights and freedoms

Most Americans aren't like John Wayne....
