How do people in England feel about Scotland, Ireland, and Wales? Do you think they should all be a part of the UK or their own stand-alone countries?

But we're uni educated. They hate us for it and they hate the middle class in general. Not even really sure someone IS middle class if they work in a call centre/delivering takeaway, aren't looked after by mummy and daddy and happen to be in debt to a uni.

But the same people who hate the middle class for being posh - admire the rich and are prepared to vote Tory.

Doesn't make sense. Don't see why they can't just be proud to be working class and work for the people. Set up their own socialist party if they don't like Labour.

Ha! Now this I agree on! It's very stupid.

Something I've noticed, is that comedians these days here are rubbish and not funny. You used to get sarcastic bastards like Rowan Atkinson, who were REALLY funny. Comedians like Bill Bailey, Paul Merton, Alan Davies, Billy Connolly, Jo Brand and Brian Blessed are all older now and the new younger comedians are sh!t. They use crudeness for humour and no wit.

I miss the days of Monty Python, Benny Hill, The Two Ronnies, and others like them.  While they weren't always funny, they were always entertaining.

True, Monty Python wasn't always funny. I can't stand The Two Ronnies. Maybe today's comedians aren't as bad as I'm making them out to be. Richard Ayoade is sarcastic and witty.

Do you remember "Steptoe & Son"?  It was remade here in the States into "Sanford & Son".  The humour was sometimes borderline offensive, but but the programme was never boring.

At my job the other day, we had a spontaneous descent into Monty Python and the Holy Grail dialogue. It happens all the time in general. I love it.

We needed a mood lightener that day.

My mum *loved* that.

You know what? Modern comedy is pretty decent actually.

Sure, if you take away most of the gratuitous profanity, some of it is hilarious.

Oh!  Come and see the violence inherent in the system!  Help!  Help!  I'm being repressed!  Did you see him repressing me?  You saw it, didn't you?

Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!

Best insult of all time, by far.
